I've always felt with Samba (apart from the obvious need for medication'), that if played higher up the pitch, where he doesn't have to tackle as much, he could really be a good player.

Pace gone down a bit. Mackie had a great chance one on one with the keeper before we scored but put it wide.
Diakite got first two. First one from the left of the goal, 18 yard bullet onto the opposite post and in. Second one a result of Mackie shutting the defenders down and then them making a mistake with Diakite receiving the ball in the box to just lift it over the keeper. Diakite Looking good albeit against poor op.
Polter just scored with a ball into the box. Chested and hit it on the volley from 8 yards out.
Not sure where Koepke usually plays but looks ok as a left back. Good physical size and pace. Decent left foot.
Luongo looks like a good ball player, tidy on the ball.
Cant see much of Schorch on the far side at right back. Obern(?) looks ok. Charlie made a comment of he looked good in training.
Monaco will mean we have to step it up a bit. | |

Kpekawa is a CB primarily, I think. Can play in DM too (and both full back positions). Went on loan to Portsmouth last year, but from what I understand, he wasn't quite ready.
I think he's in the senior squad as a replacement for Henry, who got injured. He'll probably step back into the U-21's if we bring in another defender.
Good to see Diakite doing well.
