While we’re on the subject of stupid names for awards,I saw on our bbc east local text page (160) that there is a tree of the year award given out every year.The winner then goes into the competition for European tree of the year.
Is it just me thinks that this is fecking ridiculous.Does the winning tree have to attend the awards ceremony and give a winners speech?
“And the winner for the 150th year in a row is.......”

They had the same competition in Japan. The winner was the very small boxing commentator Steve Bonsai.

Reminded of one the other day i was reading about...bastards pulled up outside a nightclub queue to pop off some rivals, failed to comprehend the power of an uzi they somehow had or whatever it was, missed the people they were after altogether and killed a couple of poor girls standing further down.
