I'm surprised he's ended up that far down the pyramid. He was alright for us when he wasn't injured or suspended.

No he wasn’t. Koki Saito did more tackles per match than him last season. And Colback was only available for half of it. Most of the time when we weren’t actually winning as we had our best results when he was on the treatment bench. And for some reason he got more of a free pass for a stupid sending off than Mbengue, even though he was certainly old enough and experienced enough to know better. Anyone who thought he was the answer obviously wasn’t at Middlesbrough away when we were drowning before handsome Ronnie was brought into midfield at half time.

I didn't say he was incredible, just alright, and I certainly didn't want him to re-sign. They did make him an offer though.
