I would suggest that there are standard procedures for serious issues like this and they have followed them....fair play to them, give the driver a few quid in his monthly pay packet if thats what they do!!!.

Agreed as far as dealing with the attacker, fair play to him and whoever else got involved. A brave man, indeed, and I hope he recovers - it is the least that he deserves.
But for a poster to bring in strikes & automated trains is very poor play imho. [Post edited 3 Nov 7:46]
