I am starting this thread with an obvious candidate.
Brendan Rodgers would be a dream A return to a real footballing identity.
As his assistant or under 21s boss I would take BBM from Cardiff just to show how superior we are as a club.
Other candidates that I wouldn’t mind
Mr Carrick awesome footballing mind has worked at this level could be a good punt.
I just hope this is done by Sunday to give the new boss time to start bedding his ideas in.

On the weekend was one of the first games in a number of years that I wasn’t looking forward to the game that we had lost before kicking a ball.
Now Alan has gone perhaps we can now get a leader whose voice isn’t like taking a full packet of Valium.
He had clearly lost the dressing room.
This season the only game that really stands out was the forest one .
Onwards and upwards anyways names and curveballs in the thread also will be sticking the next manger odds on this thread periodically.

David Wagner. He fits the criteria I’m after. He is experienced, has managed in the premier league, has won promotion from the championship. His cv looks a little questionable since his excellent work with Huddersfield but there is context. Schalke were a basket case at the time he went there, and he got Norwich to the play off final but was sacked. He is not working at the moment so no compo either, his sides play good football. Get Joe Allen as assistant to bring a bit of feel good and away we go. | | | |

There are still some, on BBC HYS especially who would welcome Martin back. What on earth are these people on? How many clubs does he need to prove how bad he actually is. I’m flabbergasted to be honest.

The same people who would have Martin back are mostly the same ones who haven't stopped whining about Sheehan since he got the job. The same people who seem to think that passing football was invented by us in 2007. As if the shite we witnessed between 2021 and 2023 was even remotely close to whatever "The Swansea Way" is and wasn't the worst kind of modern football toss.

i never rated Martin called him out very early doors and though I luked Sheehan as a person I have been one of those critical of him,unfortuneately for him he was promoted above his capabilities.

The fact that the Celtic head scout is on his way here does make me wonder whether a conversation has already taken place between Brendan Rodgers & the clubs hierarchy. I may be reading too much into it but it seems rather coincidental
