I suppose the recruitment point still stands, as the 2018/19 team included Furlong (think he left end of season although could be wrong) and included Dieng, Manning, Bright, Chair, Eze, we even had Wzolek and Luongo that went on to do impressive things. Throw in Nahki Wells arriving on loan during the season, that team, with some good transfer business should have either kicked on and achieved a lot more than it did, or we should have been able to polish some talent and make a lot of money in the market. It's criminal that we did neither - with only Eze generating anything to write home about. |
You forget from that side, a bloke who got 15 goals that sesson - Jordan Hugill.
Probably a much maligned player, but would we have had a player in the subsequent six or seven seasons that has got 15 goals. Unlikely.
Probably seemed like a plodder, playing with Wells, Bright, Eze and Chair in the same team but fair play - 15 goals in 41 appearances is decent, ask Lyndon, Sinclair and Macauley. |  |

Not sure, I listened to Second Tier for about half a season a few years ago, and it seemed pretty clear they had no idea about QPR at all? I know they did a youtube piece on us fairly recently, where they explain why we're dark horses, but it was pretty superficial, and seemed put together from stuff anyone could find from ten minutes googling and with no real insight or analysis. |
I am not sure they possess any great acuity. I just noticed that one of them (Ryan Dilks) keeps saying positive things about QPR, and that goes back to when Cifuentes was in charge. |  |
