I looked them up. They seem to have modelled themselves on a combination of Pompey and Palace fans, hence the drum and the black 'uniform'.

The Group: A dedicated ultra-style fan base supporting Lincoln City FC.
The Atmosphere: They use a drum, banners, and constant chanting to keep the crowd loud for nearly 90 minutes.
The Energy: Fans are known for bouncing and singing non-stop, even when the team falls behind during a match.
These ultra groups are standard now at football in Europe and South America, and they NEVER stop singing, often accompanied by a drum, which you can either love or hate.

Not a fan of ultras but if nothing else they don’t stop and you could hear them loud and clear on tv. Did they seem loud in the ground? Barely heard our fans but that’s the way we are: loud when the team are on top but no songs or chants when the team needs it, plus no chants that go beyond 30 seconds, even OWTS fades by the end before it speeds up. I often think it feels as if our fans are bored of the same old songs yet no one joins it with any efforts to do anything different.

We have quite an old fan base, who hate the idea of us having ultras or any sort of organised support. It was tolerated for the play-off semi-final.
Is there anyone under 40 on here!? I think most are over 60!!!
I’m still under 50 which probably makes me a nipper on here. Tbf though most of us will know the ugly from when it was a paper fanzine, and the nippers following saints won’t have a clue what either the ugly or a fanzine was

To be fair they probably don’t know what the “ugly” or the “inside” were .
I’m 50 and can confirm the away support becomes more disappointing every season. I get a mixture of annoyance at so many old fans, too many women, kids wearing terrible clothes singing awful songs. Silent fans , fans looking at phones. Other than that we have a great fan base.

Ideally I would agree, but football is about a diverse group of people and to be blunt I would rather a section of the crowd jumping up and down for 90 minutes and making a lot of noise than those seats being filled by people who have bought the shirt but say nothing for 90 minutes

If people want to cosplay being ultras that's up to them, and i will just laugh at them and mock them, as is my right.
But i draw the line at f*cking drums because they ruin all spontaneity and uniqueness and force the atmosphere to one thing and one thing only.
Much like what's happened with Pat moving to the chapel now i think about it
