I opened an account with them to sell some items and sold a CD , but instead if receiving the funds my account has been suspended. I am at a loss as to why and the AI generated emails and responses are unhelpful to say the least.

I detest selling on ebay and stopped some years ago.
But as I recall, they hold the funds till the buyer confirms receipt.
Ebay is so geared towards a buyer the seller has no protection whatsoever. |  | | |

I think it's because your account is new and they are confirming your details. They wait until your buyer has received the item before paying you.
Your best option is to find the Help section and use the Live Chat.

For some years I was a seller on Amazon - no problems at all.
Only stopped as I tired of packing and going up the Post Office.

Thanks, I have also typed asking to speak to an agent without any success.
I did ma a find a 0800 phone number to call, but only managed to listen to the AI operator offering to send me a link via email or text to enable me to go back to the AI page! | | | |

Well after getting a call back from them and holding on for 10 minutes she came back to tell me that as my account has been permanently suspended she is unable to tell me what it is that I am perceived to have done to warrant such action.
When I tried to say that they cannot just leave it like that as i have posted the CD abd got nothing for it she hung up on me.
