God... we barely even got our celebrations right after Faurlin-gate.

Hope to god we get another chance in the next few years... kinda doubt it though :(

I thought they were pretty pathetic really. At least half of them just standing there waiting to go home. All pretty fake and generally out-sung by a few thousand Villa supporters.

In 100 years prior to the premier league they won the title 7 times.
In 20 years since the premier league was formed they've won it 13 times.

It just has no credibility with me anymore, these titles are just bought with cold hard cash. It's a cartel now in which only one or two clubs can compete.

Pretty boring & predictable season overall, bar a few Suarez soap opera moments.

I'll just stand in my kitchen and congratulate the plastics walking home from the hungry horse. Always packed with united fans when they're on the tv, I take great delight in telling them that my 8 year old has seen his team play 100 times by the time this season is over which is precisely 100 more than most of them put together.

This

In the 60s: 8 different winners
In the 70s: 6 different winners

These winners included small provincial teams like Burnley, Ipswich, Derby & Forest winning it plus ourselves nearly winning it. Will never happen again.

Villa have given us a glimpse of salvation there, but there is no way we will take advantage.

Agree to an extent, but Spurs probably spend as much as Man Utd and never get near the title. Same with Liverpool. You have to give Fergie credit - he is an incredible manager, maybe the best of all time in Britain. Although suspect he would always bow before Jock Stein.

Bare bones.
