My brother used to live round the corner. I walked from his house to watch Peacock and Bradley Allen score in a league cup win about 1993. Small club, but a distinctive identity to the town, good luck to them.

Drove up to Bury on a Tuesday night many moons ago, met my eldest lad who was working In Manchester for a couple of days so It sort of made an evening out together.

0-0

After the game ended Dave went back to his hotel and I drove home and yes that's as good as It gets.

And yes good luck to Bury.

That's football.

My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic.

First game of the season Aug 2001 away to Bury, went up with Mark RTID, his son and my old mate Coley. Had to be there, League 1, standing on the terraces, proper old school, we won 2-1, loved it. Really pleased to see them back in business.

Poll: Who is your player of the season?

The lot NOT at Gigg Lane took about 500 fans across to watch them at FC IOM this season, great support (Crowd was 1700).

I'm pleased that the amalgamation has happened so that they can now play at Gigg Lane. I assume that use of the car park has been resolved?

Thay have been playing for two seasons though, so it is not the start of the way back. This will give them a better chance to continue their climb of the pyramid, but I doubt if they can match the speed of Macclesfield 's rise.

You may make light of the matter, but I'll tell you it can be very uncomfortable. It's in your interest to make sure your well up on vitamin B1, only then is Burybury unlikely to be of concern.

Poll: Thank God The Seaons Over.
