I've just been listening to QPR NYC and have been thinking it would be really great to get something similar going in Berlin (I've been living here for a few years now).

Any Berlin based Rangers on here?

Ich bin ein BerlinR!

I lived in Berlin many moons ago. What a great city. Vielen Glück in setting a group up.

Is Techno Viking a Ranger? I feel he should be.

There's a QPR Supporters Germany group on Facebook with 328 members, although not very active.

I'm not too far from Berlin.

So, the story I heard, was that there was a long-running QPR fan group in Germany and they approached QPR about formalising, and were greeted with the requirements of having a social media presence.

Seemingly, they weren't too fussed about the socials, and decided to remain as they were. Next thing, apparently, they were told that there was now an 'official' QPR supporters club, and they weren't it!

We don't have a functioning one in France either. So I approached QPR about it, explaining I had experience of setting up previous supporters clubs in Manchester in the 90s and Phnom Penh, and happy to do so here.

Very nice reply from Ed at QPR, but yeah, you need a social media 'presence' to be officially recognised. So, not for me.

If Berlin Rs wants to set one up, contact the club at marketing@qpr.co.uk

Meanwhile, the unofficial 'Les Hoops' will continue our campaign of shrugging in the face of adversity, organising strikes and roadblocks!

Berlin, I'd have thought there was a big Wall presence.

Where ever I've lived in the world there has been a decent sized QPR group - far east, middle east, even the north of England! I'm sure there must be a decent number in Berlin.

Pro tip: walk up and down Karl Marx Allee shouting You Rs! until someone outs themself.

Save for my three years in Doha, same for me where ever I've lived on the planet, and on my travels too.

As my best man once said, ironically, at a Singapore Rs evening he was invited to (he's an egg chaser), 'There might not be many of you, but you're bloody well spread!'

Cheers for the thoughts. I've seen the Facebook group but it seems pretty dead.

In 5/6 years I've met one other QPR fan haha. I actually spoke to the club about a group but I assume you'd need at least two members...

I'm here. I don't think I have met any other QPR here. The Union Berlin games were good fun a few years back. I was also at the Halle game and that one near Erfurt...can't remember the town name where there was a massive thunderstorm and everyone huddled under a tiny beer hut thing and I think Rio Ferdinand made his debut in that awful thin stripe shirt we had in the prem....ah, memories ..of course the Union game was cancelled cos of another crazy thunderstorm....the rematch was a bit dull as most R's had gone home.
