Granero 23:10 - Apr 28 with 2810 views08olesen

Dont get me wrong he has been a shocking signing, but i actually thought he played well today, and i think it was because he was playing against a championship side. Am i the only one who is thinking that if we really cant get rid of him like harry suggests, then he may actually play a decent role next season.

like hoilett, i believe there is a decent player inside somewhere!

let the abuse begin.....

Poll: Who will the other play off

Thought he was OK, but one thing I noticed is that keeps on trying to tackle from behind i.e. making tackles that can't possibly get the ball. He got booked for one, but he could easily get sent off if he does it throughout the game.

He did seem a little more "up for it" today. Had a little more time in the middle and linked well at times - and got the odd tackle in too.
But still a shadow of the promise he showed first few games of the season.

This team as it stands, with this attitude - will not come back up. It will struggle, infact, to stay up again.

I know the cause was pretty hopeless - but I would have expected a little more urgency toward the end. Win and we fight another week. Depending on other results but....
The obvious acceptance after the Villa game, in fact , was awful to witness and pretty unforgivable.

Unfortunately -Granero has been part of the "attitude problem" all season. Not blaming him - just an obvious symptom of the whole bad karma at LR since opening day.

I haven't got time for players who think they are above fighting for the cause. Granero has show pony written all over him, opposition players in the Championship will easily brush him aside.

Does seem to get going when the going gets tough, which isn't ideal for that division sadly. Clearly a player with talent, but not a lot of heart.

Granero only serves to slow us down and I hope there's a motorbike leaving in the summer with him on it and Boswanka in the sidecar

Direct them to the Dover cliffs if you see em

Watched him numerous times yesterday get the ball, give it to someone then run into areas where he can't receive it again. Plus he never looks like breaking or playing the killer pass.
Bin him.

Add to that the fact that the slightest puff of wind knocks him off the ball!

He just isn't 'hard' enough for the English game.

There is a good player somewhere in there but its wont come out in the English leagues.

He should go, as should hopefully Boswinga, Ferdinand, Park, Ben Haim, etc

Don't think Ben Haim has done a lot wrong when played to be honest.

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

Must be time to dust of the CV, I thought a few played better than I expected, Bothroyd( though he should have scored with that lob over the keeper), Granero and even Boswinga. I thought M'bia was poor. Overall the worst game I have seen for a long time.

Pressure is off... shop window is open. Granero and Remy will have schtonkingly impressive performances against Arsenal and Liverpool.

Granero started the season reasonably well, then got steamrollered by West Ham and hasn't really recovered. Good effort with the free-kick but overall his deliveries and passing nous has been very poor.
Wouldn't have him in the Championship trenches at all.

Wish I could be like David Watts

Sell him asap.

He looked ok yesterday because Reading, like us, were woeful and devoid of any confidence or shape. He had time and space. He won't get that in the CCC.

Almost as bad as Borrowdale or Ched Evans.....oh no, we didn't actually sign Evans did we? How about Pellicori, could score 100 goals when he is back from his match fixing suspension i reckon.

Granero isnt that bad, just our expectations were massive real madrid really did get a result its like us paying 20k for a ford escort.

No, he really is that bad. He's consistently fúcked up innumerable simple 5-yard passes all season.
That being said, I thought he was our least worst player out there yesterday. Actually put in quite a few tackles and went in for a couple of headers.

His agent's obviously told him to up his game if he wants a move away

Put Granero in a side like Swansea who have a clear game plan and style of football and watch him flourish

'I like London. It's up to the club if I stay' = Granero wants to stay and help QPR...

I do wonder if he is one of the players who has not benefited from a move to LR as opposed to him not being a good enough player.

He seemed to form the bass of a diamond in front of the back four yesterday and was probably given a job to do and did it reasonably well against poor opposition. The reason that some one commented that he appeared to be tackling from behind was because he had been getting up the field at times but was then at least tracking opposition back and trying to regain possession.

I also think it is harsh and cynical when people will not give him any credit for a reasonable display and only attribute it to he instructions from his agent to put himself in the shop window now that the season is over.

Poll: With no leg room, knees killing me, do I just go now or stay for the 2nd half o?

If Ale Faurlin can come back anything like the player he developed into then he would be a far better player than Granero.

It took Faurlin a little time to become tough enough for the English game, but he played at a very good level for some time once he settled in, but needed games to get back to that level. The problem was the club didn't think they could afford the time for him to regain match fitness while every game was critical. In hindsight I think if he had been given game time he would have been back to his best before now and been far better than Granero. The problem is Faurlin hasn't had many games since he's been away and still may not have found his form.

I think his contract is up during the new season, so he has a question mark over him. For me the question is he commited now to QPR and is he determined to get really fully fit during pre-season? If the answer to both of those is yes and he is fully recovered from his injury I would try to keep him and ditch Granero, who might be happier in Spain anyway.

Who's Next?

Granero can obviously play it is just that he has no pace at all. perhaps he can adapt and thrive in a lower league.

Perhaps we was just from a real place in Madrid rather than Real Madrid?

Never knowingly right.
