Very very poor finishing tonight. Should have been out of sight before Bowler scored. Dykes really guilty of not even looking up to see Johansen. Hugely frustrating that Dykes's finishing continues to be so erratic. Second half again we failed to put our chances away.

I've seen posters say we should sack Beale. How absolutely stupid are some of us. I think Pool turned down £4m for Bowler from a side pre-season and you can see why, at this level he is so good and it is a shame we didn't get to benefit from his talent.

As for us there is a hope. He's very raw but so far Armstrong looks like when he gets 'that' goal he may just be flying. Unbelievable pace and directness. If he can hone his finishing things could turn around very soon. Roberts needs games but he is going to be a quality player for us.

As for Beale. Yes a poor result tonight but give the guy a chance. There are some things his team does already that I really like. They can hunt in packs high up the pitch and if Dykes is actually on it we are 2-0 up. I'm not going to hang Dykes out to dry but he seriously needs to get his finishing together.

Never knowingly right.

Thanks but after sitting through 94 minutes I won't be watching that again.

Out of interest where have you seen posters demanding that Beale be sacked?

Various lunatics on facebook sadly. I find it very hard to understand and have blocked them. Guy needs time. Team needs time. It is going to take time. Patience particularly this season is essential.

My dad has an old saying "paper never refused ink"

So it is with FB and Twitter, either people are just being antagonistic for a laugh or more members of our fan base appear to be thick as schitt than I ever accounted for.

Laird had one session of 40mins after joining on Monday and some muppet is going mental saying bring Kakay back. I mean I do have a good radar for spotting irony and humour normally but with some of those threads you think "I think he is being serious".

The same with calls for Beale to be sacked now as he isn't good enough.

I consider my life stressful, but some of those posters must really be close to the edge with how upset they are getting and it is only August

I have it streamed on my Sky Glass but I can’t bring myself to watch it all again.

Ridiculous over reaction. Let MB get all his personnel ready and available before writing him off. I personally think he is here to stay no matter what happens this season. It's a long term job that needs doing at QPR. Like MW, I always think a lot of the players are more to blame for our poor displays.

Agree with everything on Dykes. He works hard enough but technically he's just not good enough at this level. His finishing, his touch (his bad control led to their goal) his movement is just not up to it.

Plus...I'm getting more and more frustrated with Johansen. He's not a leader, he goes backwards more than forwards, and when required to defend is a liability. His attempt to block Bowler's shot was like watching an under 10 afraid of getting hit with the ball. I don't remember the last time we had a captain who was substituted week on week.

lessons need learning from Tuesday otherwise Saturday will be a carbon copy.

"I'm not going to hang Dykes out to dry but he seriously needs to get his finishing together".

I think finishing is something the whole team needs to work on, but this is a problem which predates the arrival of Beale, it goes back years. Does anyone know if we actually practice our finishing? We certainly should.

It seems unlikely we are going to produce a hatful of chances in games unless we have our first choice eleven, with everyone fit and in top form, so we must work on becoming more clinical. I remember that away game at Cardiff where we created 20 chances, they created three and we lost 3-0.

We need to assume that we'll only get four or five chances in a game, treat them as precious, and bury them!

I live in hope....

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
