Was there as well. 0-0 if I remember right my, then a couple of years later for Ramsey’s first game, won 2-0. Ground emptied at half time. Great goal by Zamora. But what a drive back. Freezing fog patches along the A1 made life very interesting.
Heading down tomorrow. Always go first day with friends. My racing knowledge is beyond non-existent, but it’s a great day out. Hopefully weather will ease off before the first race otherwise my Guinness glass might get flooded!
Just been reading the West Brom message board and such comments other than being very impressed were ‘This QPR team should be top of the league’, ‘on this display they should be challenging for the top two’, ‘best team we have played all season’ and my favourite so far ‘it’s been like playing Man City without the goals!’
Given that the match will be played just two days after the 57th anniversary of our greatest day as a club I’ll go for a 3-2 win after being two down at half time to a Matt Phillips double. The comeback will start with a Jimmy Dunne goal followed by a Ilias Chair equaliser and a Paul Smyth winner after Steve Cook’s hard but fair challenge on their keeper.
Watched the highlights of their game v Ipswich and the penalty given to them was soft to say the least, then the camera switched to the ref. Need I say more?
I assume that the lower School End will have the first six rows of seats covered up, when it is unlikely that Rotherham will sell their allocation and we could have roped off the first three rows of the upper their thus releasing the whole of the lower.
Paul Clement is a decent man. A coach revered by the likes of Anchilotti. PBBC is nothing but a chancer. Bluffs his way around the football world and adds nothing new or significant to coaching and ways of playing. Sad thing is that with these two recent sackings he probably doesn’t have to put out another cone in his life. I just pray that Millwall see sense and take him on.
I believe that Arsenal ladies also play at The Hive so I would suspect that Arsenal may find a few coppers down their sofa to renovate it in red and white.
A real decent guy and for a centre half tries to get his teams to play the right way with good expansive football. Would do well in the Prem but never really given the chance. His voice always reminds me of Bobby Robson. Wish him well.
There was also another report that suggested that the players that had been signed on long term contracts aren’t happy. Fernandes is reported to be looking for a move and Simon Jordan came out with a lovely quote the other day on the radio stating that Brighton can turn a £5million player into a £100million player and North Battersea can turn a £100million player into a £5million player.
Hopefully the next couple of years play out in a way in which we all hope.😂
