Yes arguably he's the kind of player who needs a run of games and really needs to start in them if we're to see what he can do. Not always easy to come on a sub and make an impact in every game, especially if we're chasing it.

Bear in mind also he's the wrong side of 30 and I don't think has played regular Championship football for a little while.

What was his moment of insanity in Cardiff? I don't recall any major rick he made that led to their goal? (I assume you're talking about the play off final).

Given how much abuse stewards tend to get, always nice to hear these stories.

Home draw - which is nice.

Although on current form I think we're playing better away.

On behalf of fagg0ts and other meat-based dumpling products I for one am delighted that this persecution has come to an end.

We have never been, nor will ever be, cheap and lousy.

Watford are now selecting managers in reverse order, so it looks like Jokanovic will be next.

At some point in 2020 Graham Taylor will be exhumed and installed in the Hornets' hot seat, you heard it here first!

Fourth goal was also clearly offside (look at when the first shot was made and their forward is both offside and in Lumley's eye line).

Not that it mattered much, but anyway...

Kane - a real weak link
at 08:29 28 Nov 2019

OK I'll bite.

I think we have a squad of players who are largely good going forward but less able at the defending side. Kane has come back in and done some good things offensively, setting up Hugill at Fulham and last night providing an excellent run and cross that Scowen should have buried to get us an equaliser and a lifeline in the game.

Rather than singling out players because as usual us fans always need a scapegoat, for me the main issue last night was for maybe the first time, Warburton not having the courage of his convictions and having a slightly more defensive starting XI. Which seemed harsh on Hugill; because once he came on we looked a lot better up top, even with a man down.

Once the second goal went in, the rest was not entirely surprising. Forest have splashed the cash, look a very decent unit and should make the play offs at the very least. We are now in a more realistic position in the table, having far exceeded expectations. We just need to tough out the next few weeks, hopefully get a lucky break here or there and see what we can do in January to bolster the back line.

"For instance an Ale Faurlin type in this team would have us comfortably top half imo."

Get him back!! He's currently wasting his time at Marbella in the Spanish 2nd division.

Familiar failings floor QPR at Fulham - Report
at 08:13 25 Nov 2019

Thanks for the report Clive. Like you say we're really a couple of players away from being a very good side, and in all fairness we're not bad at the moment at least going forwards compared to some of the dross we've seen recently. Agreed that we just need a bit more pragmatism in certain situations, and there is nothing wrong with that. Also we're really not getting much luck at the moment - seems like every individual mistake is getting the maximum punishment, and if that ball off Ream goes in to make it 2-0 rather than hit the post then it could have been a very different game.

Sacking Warburton would be absolutely ridiculous, and you hope the people in charge have enough experience now to know that chopping and changing managers will get us nowhere.
