Maybe we all need to learn to be patient. Maybe he can kick on like Madsen did and we should stop writing off players for struggling in their first season |

Sounds like our medical team still don’t know how to properly diagnose an injury - I fear it’ll be one of those where we get a couple of updates and it goes quiet until he finally returns in March |

His attitude has totally changed.
I was blown away when he said he wanted more goals at Pompey. That was very different to the type of things he would say last season.
I genuinely think everyone at the club sees play offs as a realistic goal. |

I do think it may be what we are lacking - one talisman who can just win you games out of nowhere. Our squad is very good on the whole but I don’t think we have anyone who could lace Adel’s boots and be a match winner 15 times a season |

We are outperforming Middlesbrough, West Ham, and on a par with Wolves - be happy with that or you’ll never be satisfied!
Stoke have spent a fortune and are on zero points. Norwich were play off favourites and are on zero points. |

I’m as disappointed as everyone else that we didn’t secure a well deserved win BUT it’s game two - we look significantly better prepared than last season; we look much fitter; Cirkin and Lamptey are featuring a few weeks ahead of expectation; Madsen hasn’t really featured; Kone and Burrell still getting up to speed - and we’re still fourth, our attacking play until the finish looks really fast and fluid
LOTS to be pleased with - Poku and Chair are like new signings - Bolton and Portsmouth won their other games so none of this “we played sh1t teams” nonsense. |

Didn’t quite work out for us but even then he scored almost 1 in 4. Goal record across his career suggests he has been a very good player and maybe we should have been a bit more patient. |

Two good players in every position is spot on. Feels like the best squad we’ve had since maybe even the Warnock days. Just need to keep them fit, that’s the tricky part!
Cirkin sounds great, maybe even first choice above Kemper anyway, which says it all as Kemper has looked very solid this pre season and against Millwall. |

It’s all about keeping this team fit this season.
Two solid options in almost every position now. Rotate carefully and be smarter in the three game weeks and we may do something special.
Shame about Kemper and shame Madsen already missed a game, so reminders to be on top of managing fitness.
Team looks very “on it”, very hungry; Stephan demanding a fourth was so out of character and absolutely a huge take away for me on the targets this season. |

Middlesborough spend £14M on a goalkeeper today.
I do think we need to be patient with our team as we’re still paying peanuts compared to most teams. Yes, a few million here and there on Kone, Edwards, etc is a lot for us, but we are still competing against far higher budgets. |

I didn’t speak to Obikwu he just didn’t look obviously injured eg not on crutches etc, and looked happy enough - nothing to suggest he’d just had a big injury.
Kolli I asked him directly if he was injured he said he’s okay and he’ll be back next week. |

Not remotely confident tbh. Keepers has undoubtedly improved, but that’s it. And we’ve lost experienced heads like Cook and Hayden.
Other clubs are spending £20M+ on players (Lankshear, Middlesborough) or selling players for £68M (Summerville West Ham)
It’s like we’re on a different playing field to the top end Championship clubs.
Signing a right back with an ACL isn’t going to change our season.
I don’t think we’ll be in too much trouble but we will be closer to bottom three than top eight I imagine as it stands [Post edited 21 Jul 18:20]
