The change in tone is because he doesn't like someone that might ask for accountability at a professional level, but feels he has to include Clive because of his influence with the fanbase. Clive has a decent audience and will often highlight the more questionable decisions by people running QPR, a lot of which is born from the many decades of chancers and underhanded goings on we've experienced from previous regimes. He also questions people as a profession, so will expose bullshit if given the opportunity, and people like CN hate that. Linked In Boy is an egotist, but his main agenda is controlling the narrative, this is why he has to suffer Clive, who he can't fully control, and also why he loves / invited Matt Winton, who lets have it right is <REDACTED>. | Forum Reply | Club confirm Hamer, Nardi, Hayden departs... at 11:20 5 May 2026
All good, each have been decent in their own way. Hayden especially came at an important time for both spells. It might have been nice to make this announcement before the Derby game, so the crowd could acknowledge them directly. I imagine that's why Nardi started that game, but ho hum.... Also along with Cook, that's 4 players leaving at contract end that's taking a hell of a lot of experience and years in the leagues with them. We keep saying it, but I hope the club has that amongst their criteria when it comes to finding suitable replacements |
 | Forum Reply | QPR play the perfect promotion party guest once more – Report at 15:22 3 May 2026
Another incredible report, not just 48/48, but probably closer to 1000, and each has been some level of insightful, cathartic, funny, joyous or maddening - giving us all much needed camaraderie as we navigate the curse of following a uniquely dysfunctional club. I've known you a long time now, and have seen closer than most what goes into this level of consistency. It's a gift for all of us to have someone with your ability and work rate, that I imagine is ten fold for any ex-pats or further flung R's that don't get that weekly fix of seeing QPR live. While we get to sit back and enjoy, I know you also have to wade through abuse, trolling and pure stalker mentalists, but I think I speak on behalf of 99% of regular readers (hello to the other one) when I reiterate how lucky we are to have one of the best football writers in the country putting out meaningful content just for us. Similar to Dave and AKUTRs, it's another little niche thing that we can point to that separates us, and makes QPR special. When the tank is low and the little rats chew close to the bone, I hope you can fall back on the knowledge that your work is noticed, appreciated, cherished, celebrated, unrivalled, and to a lot of people, absolutely necessary. Have a good summer mate x |
 | Forum Reply | Anatomy of a season – Report at 01:59 27 Apr 2026
You get the feeling Paul Smyths boy has never walked anywhere in.his entire life! Good report. Was nice to see LR resplendent in the sun while we played well and attacked with the abandon we complained about missing the last few weeks. Also spot on with injuries. It's a problem, it shouldn't be covered up for the sake of 'optics', or to protect a friendship, etc. It's probably the thing that's cost us more than anything this season, and stopped us knocking on the door of the playoffs with a group of young and sought after players. It's had a knock on effect not just in league position, but with everything else we're trying to do. Players are not developing and putting a ? next.to their names when it comes to reliability. Young lads like Bennie can't go on loan because they need to cover. The team can't gel.and find consistency and cohesion... You can have the best young prospects in world football, but if they can't get on the pitch, there won't be a player trading model....Own the mistake, make the necessary changes, and FIX IT. We don't care how it looks, we just want to see the team given a chance to succeed. |

Westbound H&C not running at all btw |
 | Forum Reply | Mbengue - Whats the viewpoint on this guy... at 14:26 20 Apr 2026
All of his attributes are raw, good and bad. He's rapid and athletic, but clumsy and rash. He's brave and willing, but lacks finesse for end product. He is the only one in the back half of the pitch with any kind of pace, but he's also the biggest liability. Don't forget it's his first full season at this level, and he's been a full back with us for less than that. I've seen him play superb defensive games too, locking up some of the best wingers in the league. Still 24 and relatively late into this level of football. A bit mental but plenty to work with. I like him a lot. [Post edited 20 Apr 14:31]

Which makes these regular increases even more disappointing. As usual they're happy to put strain on those of us that have been staunchly supporting the club, even amongst the mostly terrible last few years. Our reward is to be squeezed further so they can make an amount that covers the wage of a new performance coach, or a few weeks of 1 players wages. |

I put Andy Sinton because he's simply the best person and not sure anyone does more for QPR support. Also the guy across from me who sits in G, takes Rich to the away games and always does Tiger Walk. That guy's a legend but not sure of his name |

I suppose they think there will be enough interest in safe standing that they'll sell that block, even if it's to those getting one-off game tickets. But the cost of that is to shaft everyone that's been in Y the last few seasons... I guess they don't care. |
 | Forum Reply | Rail seating expansion approved (always check the small print) at 09:33 15 Apr 2026
Do you think they're using this mini announcement of intent to gauge reaction before deciding fully? I think they did the same with something else they eventually rowed back on? It doesn't make sense in any way to price it so low to begin with and then try to match R Block, which is a premium part of the ground for atmosphere, etc. I thought the point of Y block was to attract fans to a less desirable part of the ground - and give a home to people who want the back and forth with away fans... An increase might be justified, but a price match jump in one session is unreasonable. |

Madsen should be unanimous as the POTY. Honourable mentions for Jimmy who has been a great captain and consistent performer all year, and Burrell who took to this league amazingly well. YPOTY is Kone. Vale voting is strong recency bias, he's been great since Leicester but v hit and miss before, mostly miss. It's the same reason I wouldn't consider Edwards for half a season last year. In terms of youth / DS products you'd say Kolli then Morgan. GOTS I would probably go Vale, but Morgan against Brum the most enjoyable. |
 | Forum Reply | A genre classic - Report at 01:57 13 Apr 2026
Surely that's Edwards more natural side, as a right footed CB? Anyway, superb siege chat. |
 | Forum Reply | W12 podcast at 11:39 11 Apr 2026
If we're rejecting nearly £6m for Varane, I would turn on the auto-reject setting for anything under £10m plus a v big sell on for Kone. He's going to be a £15-20m player in the next 2-3 years, without doubt. We do need to get used to our better players moving on without having big wobblies about a lack of ambition, etc. But you'd hope we get another year out of him, Madsen, Burrell and others, just to see if there's enough there for a playoff push next season. |

Was behind me in the beer queue at Charlton, so does away games too it seems. I don't know much about him other than he's posh and something to do with food. Was he also the one that said really crass things about Caroline Flack after she died? Gove can absolutely fck off btw. |
 | Forum Reply | Walsh at 20:19 10 Apr 2026
The whole goalkeeper situation has been horribly mismanaged, imo. Cooper had the loan experience so should have been ahead of Walsh anyway, but we should have sent Walsh on loan and played Nardi, with Hamer as backup. Again, unless they're showing signs of being special, you get 100 appearances in a lower league and then see where they are. It could well be he's going to have a great career at this level, but experience is key and he could make those mistakes elsewhere until he finds that consistency - the same way we did with Lumley. The fact we also fcked Nardi off, going back and forth with him, and ultimately not playing him in favour of the worst keeper in the league, feels poorly done. |
 | Forum Reply | Paul Furlong at 19:12 10 Apr 2026
Well even if that view was correct, it wouldn't apply to Furlong, and areas like the box office, which I've always found to be great |
 | Forum Reply | Walsh at 19:06 10 Apr 2026
It's also the worst by a LONG way. 2nd last is Bazunu costing them an estimated 5.4 goals... For a club that's so hot on data and analytics, it would go against their whole approach to retain Walsh for next season. Like I said, you don't start development prospects in goal in this league unless they're special. If you're being kind you can say it was to work out if we had something with a young keeper with a prototype build. Well now we have our answer. |
 | Forum Reply | Paul Furlong at 12:48 10 Apr 2026
Emphatic supporters of the current regime should probably ask themselves why, with a staff list as long as a Peter Crouch arm, there are little to no football people, or those with especially strong connections to QPR. Meanwhile Furlong is sacked and joins Watford, and a Gallen is overseeing a promotion charge, while we advertise another 'performance' related position. |
 | Forum Reply | Next season’s central midfield two. at 19:58 7 Apr 2026
You have another 6-12 months of Madsen, meanwhile Morgan is loaned out to get week to week experience and returns when we sell as the longer term option. I know others were hoping he went somewhere this season, but I was less keen on loaning Morgan in January for exactly this reason. He's still the closest player we have to Madsen in the squad. |
 | Forum Reply | Just Back at 02:52 7 Apr 2026
Poor footwork and weight balance meant a shot without a lot of power and not in the corner goes in fairly comfortably. I don't want a pile on for a young keeper at the end of a finished season, but these last few games should serve to hammer home.what most of us have been saying for a while.... We need a new goalkeeper |
