Our garbage attack from set pieces makes our defence look better than it actually is. After 2-3 seasons of this problem it's got to be the only explanation. Maybe there's no one who can put a delivery in like we see in games and therefore it can't be practiced enough.

I'm not a boo boy, but we have for years conceded so many goals from set pieces that surely questions need to be asked and the situation addressed.

Starting to agree. 2 years of dross now. For the last 10 years, I was worried about Keith leaving. Now, I think it'd be a huge relief. Might even see our strongest team on the pitch.

Hilly will roll out the usual "individual errors costing us at the minute" the same "individuals" that a manager coaches and trains all week long, funny how regardless of personnel in defence its the exact same mistakes, who's the only constant?

According to the beeb website only 1 shot on target anyway, so with so few opportunities, it almost becomes immaterial what the defence does.

Can you see improvement week on week? We beat a very poor team Saturday and a lot of people were buzzing

Match thread: Wycombe, away. on 21:27 - Oct 23 with 1897 views | fitzochris | Tonight has been an awful performance. There will be moans about the referee but he’s sod all to do with why we are losing here. Wycombe have been direct, muscular and effective - and we’ve helped them with our woeful defending. We’ve tried to get the passing going second half but it’s led to eff all. I don’t think their keeper has had a save to make. It’s just not been good enough at all.

Match thread: Wycombe, away. on 21:27 - Oct 23 with 1877 views | Shun | Jesus, the team’s defending is absolutely embarrassing. We can’t make any player changes until January but I don’t think that would solve anything anyway. This isn’t a player issue, it’s a coaching issue. The fact that we’ve had the same problems with so many different defenders shows that. Hill seems powerless to solve it so for crying out loud bring in a defensive coach. We don’t need to wait till January to do that.
Match thread: Wycombe, away. on 21:29 - Oct 23 with 1844 views | mikehunt | Yep I’ve had enough of this now. Another 3 (up to now) conceded. Against a team we should at least be holding our own against. We’ve come too far to chuck it all away. This really is not good enough.

That would mean Hill admitting he's getting something wrong and can't fix it. Not going to happen.
