McGahey on the bench is a very big call.

Not even a sniff of a goal for either team after 70 mins and we find ourselves 1-0 down. This game really has been sh!te.

I think the team selection looked awful from the start ... bad management and bad players time to change ....

And then we score still not happy

Its poor very very poor, it's like we are afraid to attack teams.
Wtf happened to no fear football.

Can't wait for the blinkered Keith hill lovers to try to just justify ANOTHER performance like this. How many now this season?

1-2 one of the worst clangers youll ever see in your life.

Blizzare 5 minutes. They take off the main striker, look to settle for 0-0 then score. Then our worse player on the day equalises. Within a minute a gentle back pass by Perkins bobbles slightly & ends up as an OG. I think Lillis should have got something on it

Christmas coming early for Argyle at the moment

To be fair, after the ball from Hendo it was harder to miss than score.

Terrible result. Freakish once-every-few-seasons type winning goal. We had the majority of possession and, unusually for us, actually had a few shots for a change. The trouble is we just didn’t test the keeper enough. Our shots are so tame. Apart from the goal their keeper could’ve played with one hand today and still not conceded again.

Plymouth weren’t as bad as their position suggests, they defended quite well and players like Ladapo and Carey are good players at this level, but we need to be much, much better than that. Rubbish season so far.

Couldn't make it today listened on ifollow. Commentary team said Dale deserved all 3 points. So that doesn't sound like the team played as awfully as some are saying.
Sounded like OG was an absolute freak occurrence that could have happened to anyone.

Yes the winner was a fluke, but we were masters of our own downfall and Plymouth were the side who attacked with a real threat, despite us having the majority of the ball.

1 point from 6 against 2 teams in the bottom 4, we'll be replacing one of them soon.

We did pretty much dominate possession and they looked a poor team but we huffed and puffed. Cross after cross was poor and any chances we did make resulted in powder puff shots. Point in case Andrew has a weak header they go up the other end and Done doesn't do enough to stop the cross getting away. Their player gets in front of a defender and the slightest weak touch take it in.

We then get back in the game and shoot ourself in the foot. No doubt Lillis should do better but both Rafferty and Perkins should clear the ball. In bad weather don't pass back inside the six yard box with players around.

The number if self inflicted goals is really deflating. We play some decent stuff but lack the end product. Andrew works hard but doesn't look threatening. Henderson is too deep and the bench doesn't offer much, although Gilliam could become a decent player and goal threat.

Oh dear.

From the first ten minutes, the whole set up felt wrong. Too many players playing with fear. What on earth has happened to Hills no fear mantra? Or has he become bored with the job? Or can he not forsee his next big payday from a cup run, or sell on fee? whatever, Hill needs to look no further than in his own mirror to see what the problem is.

It's hard to lay the blame anywhere other than at the Managers door for that soulless display of defence first boring football. Too often, we fannied around with trying to play keep ball on a horrible day. Surely, a more direct style with attacking minded formations would have at least entertained the sparse crowd?

Hate to say it, but Perkins is finished now. The number of times he passed it straight to them was staggering. along with Wilbraham, Hills two big wage Summer signings are both a disaster, and no doubt expensive ones.

Only Henderson (again, wasted in midfield) and Calvin can come out of that game with their heads held high.

Done needs to go on a self confidence course, and Inman shouldn't be anywhere near the team when it's cold and wet, coz he's soft.

Also, I think there needs to be an explaination as to why McGahey was on the bench.

Time for the Manager to answer some serious questions.

Commentators said Plymouth were setup to counter attack, was that a valid comment?

How did MJ Williams do in place of McGahey?

If Cannon was to go in January has he added to or lessened his price tag?

Does the jigsaw just need a couple of extra pieces, or does it need starting again completely?

This jigsaw has all the pieces waiting in the box to simply be put in their right place, instead of the wrong pieces trying to be forced into the wrong places week after week.

They countered well but also started well and on the front foot.

MJW was fine, the change completely unnecessary.

Cannon was poor when he came on, but he should have replaced Camps centrally rather than the wide player (Rathbone!)

The jigsaw has far too many pieces. Would rather we were doing one of those kids versions that take two minutes than mess about trying to find all the corners, then the edges, while sticking the Henderson piece in the middle.

Hmm... It seemed like us who were set up all wrong. we constantly played the ball back and forth in defence and midfield, with little or no end product.

MJ Williams did ok, but wasn't up against much.

Cannon seems to have regressed hugely this season, which you can hardly blame him for due to lack of game time. Thus, I don't think he'll go for a fee big enough to tempt us to sell.

My best guess is that Adshead will be sold, and several high earners will be forced out (Wilbraham for sure...what a disaster he's been)

Clough will have to go back ( I just don't think Hill likes him. Not sure I believe all these injury stories)

I'd like to see Perkins and McNulty go, so we can bring in a striker, but can't see either leaving. (Bobby Grant is on loan at Wrexham ffs)

Most of all, I'd like to see some confidence instilled into the players. They look frightened to death at the moment, and without any off field leadership.

WE should be getting much better outcomes with the players we have. I can't understand if Hill has just become incompetent or if he's playing some sort of weird game.

Not sure about once-every-few-seasons, i honestly think that's the worst goal i've ever seen us concede

Four players had the chance to clear - i'll include Perkins although he was put in the shit by Cannon & Rafferty but ends up with o.g. against him due to Lillis having lined his boots with R17ALE's plump pork sausages

Shit game, shit afternoon, shit season

Could MJW for HM have been for fatigue reasons in the busy Christmas period?

If money does come in from selling players in January. How should any that is left after maintaining financial security of the club be spent?
