Not able to be there (thank goodness) but have listened to some on the GMR commentary and it's painful to hear an ex player in Calvin being so critical of the lack of effort from midfield and defence, plus mentioning that when we defend we need to keep an outlet upfield. It's down to poor poor players signed mainly by Stockdale, but I'm not sensing that they are playing much better under the new boss.

It really looks like the fat lady is starting to warm up.

The embarrassing thing is that they haven't even stepped up their intensity since the first goal and are still in first gear. They have put a cross in from the right and the leagues top scorer has been left alone 6 yards out to tap home

Awful

I always have Northampton down, along with Walsall, as one of those sides we usually save our best performances of the season for. We could do with it tomorrow.

Bloody hope this isn’t one of our best performances of the season!

Even by our own recent standards, that was truly woeful defending.

The sad thing is , they aren't 3 goals better than us which is why I'm clinging to the faint hope that we might just improve enough to get a few results and somehow survive.

Terrible and agonising to watch.
Football is supposed to be a team game this lot dont play like a team..

There is so much wrong with this team and Bentley as a very tough job now to try and get points...

I liked Stockdale but his recruitment is costing the club dearly on the pitch...

My all time favourite Dale player Mr Lyndon Symmonds

This second half has been as bad as I've seen it this season, it's been clueless and we now have under performing players openly blaming others everytime we concede.

I know that Orient and Northampton are two of the better teams in the league but the last two performances have dreadful.

I had hope after EJB's first two games and six goals, but we haven't mustered a shot on target in the last two games. Admittedly it's been against two of the supposed best sides in the division, but if they are the cream of the crop it really doesn't say much for how strong the league is.

Our squad is much worse than at this time last season. JB's task is to keep us in the fight until such time as he can strengthen the team. I don't envy his position at all.

as easy a win as they will get all season. Yes it was reasonably even up to 40 minutes but teams know we will eventually give them chances. Our only decent effort came 10 seconds from the end with a good shot from Quigley that was well saved.

We have scored the second fewest goals, and conceded the second most. We are where we deserve to be in terms of league position. At the moment we need two other teams to be equally garbage for the foreseeable future. Big game against colchester next week who could be one such team

You liked him? Why? His recruitment was shite, and so was his tactical awareness. I would rather have an horrible bastard who knows how to recruit good players and knows how to get them how to play than a nice manager. Stockdale did leave us in the shit, hopefully EBJ can sort out the mess.

David Buchanan was doing the punditry for Radio Northants which was the commentary on my dodgy firestick. He's obviously from Rochdale and has seen a lot of our matches recently. Around the hour mark he made a very poignant comment when he said it looks as though the Rochdale players are just waiting to get beaten.
A sad reflection on our current dilemma.

Yes, he's quite often at our games so he'll know the ins and outs of what's been going on.

He was spot on in his summary and did a good job as co commentator.

I've just been in text contact with my friend and fellow Dale fan (a couple of minutes before I read your post) and relayed what the Northampton comentator said "Rochdale are a team waiting to get beat" that sums it up for me !
