We were poor, facing a team who ran their socks off by pressing us all over the pitch for 80 minutes and who deserve full credit for beating us at our own game. However, for Dale to go on to win when struggling for so long reflects the players spirit and will to never give up and also deserves our utmost respect. Dare I say it's that type of spirit that makes Champions. It's the will power that can see us through what has been a difficult spell. The dream is still alive !!

The Moss issue has always been there when he’s on the left. We don’t see him as an option in open play.
Would like to see him on the right at some stage as at least it’s still on his best foot.

He has done a job, especially nulifying attacking theats from better sides. If you ask him does he think he is a left wing back I suspect the answer will be no. I do not want to start next season with him playing there as it affects our attacks.

Yorks penalty today. I'm sorry but the Woking player doesn't even make a challenge. He's just running alongside the York player who throws himself to the ground. They are obviously being instructed as Newby did the same v Gateshead midweek but the ref didn't fall for it and booked him.Hopefully we get a strong ref on the final day.

A difficult ground to play at firstly, the open nature and cross winds noticeable.
From early on we were up against it tactically. Our usual play from the back was stymied by Sutton’s team press, whereas their back 4 could spend an eternity on the ball, before 1 dale player pressed and defender passed it sideways.
Occasional ball over the top for Smith, our threat was nullified. Sutton equally created next to nothing, but they were able to attack with intent.
Second half much the same, but we were getting more into it when Hendo had one chalked off then their 18 year old hit a beauty. Sutton maybe deserving the lead for their attacking intent being greater to this point.
The time up until Rodney’s equaliser was frustrating periods where we didn’t press their keeper “we’re losing” and berating the linesman for an awful offside decision.
Then Mcbride played a peach and Rodney hit a banger. Their keeper wouldn’t let go off the ball which is odd, as they had just lost the lead in a game they had been good in. Go get a winner would be my mentality.
The scenes/limbs when the second one went in will live long in the memory.

Now I think we can all admit that until the subs injected some urgency into us late on, we looked short of energy and ideas but it’s a genuine question when asking what is this “plan b” that we could adopt?
We changed at Scunthorpe to go more direct, we probably went too long today. It’s not an attempt to cause a great debate, more to understand what some fans see as this “plan b”?

Thought that East particularly stood up in the second half..there was a phase of play in the second half in the middle of the park where he went into 4 successive challenges to win us the ball back…it was the bit before Hendos ruled out goal
Reminded of the Al Pacino speech at half time in some American football team film where he talks about the inches and not the yards...East was that example

Just seen the game lowlights. That was putrid especially when you see the endeavour the likes of East put in. To even get a point away for the worst display of the season is remarkable, but to win it beggars belief. If the management sort the tactics out, then the spirit is still definitely there from the players. Funny thing is that Psychologically this is a massive shot in the arm for the team, despite the performance. It’s the opposite for York as this really p-ssed on their chips. The team expended more energy in the fracas after the game than during it. But seriously how well did Kyron Gordon do to call the players over to the fans to help defuse the situation. He is a real leader without the armband. To think at the end of last season I had him down on my let go list. Still helps me keep grounded about my opinions. Morecambe are in a must win position for the next game. Hartlepool could be out of the playoff picture and Wealdstone will have an eye on the FA trophy final by the time we play them. Things could align nicely provided we follow a poor performance with a good one next week. UTD

You misunderstand the inference. We were forced to play badly yesterday. At Southend and Scunthorpe we were pressured because we couldn’t dominate the ball. This team needs to win the possession battle included playing out from the back, in order to bear maximum influence on the game. Now it’s not easy and I don’t have the answers but Plan A , (mixed with a little b and c) of probing with and retaining the ball is our DNA. MORE 60% plus possession please.

In Jim's intervew he alluded to a lack of energy. The trip down ended up being a lot longer than it should have. It was another two game match week and Sutton had another day in between games than we did. Injuries and international call ups have weakened the squad which has in recent times left some bench options not really being trusted, causing other players to play more minutes than they would have earlier in the season.
After the Easter weekend there are three matches on three consecutive Saturdays and hopefully some of the injured players will be available.
On to the plan B point. The alternative is what? Play more direct? That happened against Scunthorpe to limited effect. Henderson is hardly going to win lots of headers. We do not really have pacey forwards to get in behind, especially if teams sit deep and there is no space. The substitutions worked yesterday and the foward line who ended the game are different types of player who started.
I think plan A is working well. We have a record points score, wins etc and there are still games to go. At times we have cut the opposition to pieces and scored some lovely goals. We also have to remember that the players are fifth tier players (although a number of they could make the step up) and are working really hard. You can clearly see their fight and passion. How many of us at work do/can put in a 100% performance day in, day out?
If we can better one of York's results in the next four games the last day becomes academic. Away trips to Boston and on the plastic at Tamworth are not gimmes.
