I've just read this lad is apparently on trial with us ? Seems to have had a couple of years at Blackburn during Prem days , but came up via Southport and has had loans involving Morecambe , Macclesfield , and back to Southport .

I don't think he'd be running a half marathon if he was on trial with us, but if he is, and he did, he'll be getting a bollocking from the medical staff! The lad appears to be called Zac Doolan-Aley and came through at Southport. Coincidence or could he be playing v Hartlepool, and chasing opponents down the tunnel?
A little bit of googling finds that he is the nephew of John Doolan, but sadly the other John Doolan who played for Wigan. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]
