We can't compete in this division with no investment.

And Hassenhuttl won't put up with it.

When I say we can't compete, I mean we can compete if we have no injuries., but we have no cover. Ralph can't work miracles continually

Ralph looks gutted. If he isn't backed you couldn't blame him for leaving

Just like Pochettino and Koeman.

There’s only so much that can be achieved with saints and we all know that. The thing is, we have a good first eleven but a shockingly weak squad. We’re playing kids that shouldn’t be near the first team as there are barely any recognised premier league players in the squad. Quite frightening how weak we are.

I think he's going to that dark place he went to after the Leicester defeat... poor bastard.

Old School is Cool

If there was ever any doubt that Ings will stay or go, this and the transfer window has probably made his mind up.

But Nick keeps telling us compared to other clubs, that we are lucky that we don’t have an owner that will invest even a penny. We are self sustaining so more than capable of getting through the pandemic. It’s the clubs like Everton that are in trouble

I am afraid however it is dressed up Gao has not taken us anywhere. In fact, I do not understand why he ever got involved in the club and even moreso why Kat Liebherr thought for one moment he would be the person that would take us to the next platform that she claimed he would.

Gao shows absolutely no interest in the club or even the football. How many games has he watched live (before Covid can be used as an excuse)? Read that across with the Leicester foreign owners who have a genuine interest in the game and the local community.

You don't get away with having a weak squad in this division.
Injuries have completely wrecked our good start,
Tonight was going to be hard enough against United at home, throw in Dean and co and you just know its going to be impossible. Then we lose a player after 2min and score an own goal.
Nothing boring with Saints eh?

Do many owners have an interest in football?
He bought it as an investment.
Maybe to move money out of China, who knows?
He said from the start he wasn’t going to invest in the club. So why is everyone shocked!?
There have been players bought but bad ones. Ings was a great buy as long as he stays injury free.
Kat Liebherr could of sold to a better person but she didn’t.
Again, a business woman interested in one thing.

Money.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.
Poll: Knowing what we know now, should we have sacked Hasenhüttl?

The fact is we're totally skint. We were leaking money left, right and centre even before Covid came along so God know's what our debt must be up to now. Toby Steele did an admirable job of covering up the enormity of the situation when the recent accounts were published. We are acquiring the sort of debt that few, if any, potential new owners would be willing to write off. We are still a very attractive proposition, but only post administraiton when the debts have been wiped out. In some ways it would be best if Steele and Semmens came out and told the truth about our finances, it might make it easier for everyone to understand just why we didn't sign any players and why we have a subs bench resembling a creche. I'm sure Ralph knows the score, and he must know that his better players will have to be sold at some point. Ralph will hopefully sort out the short term mess because he's an excellent coach. Long term I'm not sure what happens.

In other news Messi is worth £492 million , it makes no sense.

Half the teams in the PL cannot compete season after season. Just look at the turnover in the past 10 years. Just staying here is an achievement. Look at how Bournemouth were flying high for so long then just slumped.

Granted but we're not spending beyond our means like Bournemouth and other teams at the bottom, we're not spending at all.
We need to be mid way between the two.
And if you look at our accounts there appears to be a black hole or to put it another way Kat and Goa's bank accounts
