| Sometimes eating humble pie tastes good! 23:07 - Feb 10 with 1379 views | A1079 | On 18 January, I wrote a pretty depressing piece about how I felt the club, the owners, the players had lost their way, lost vision, did not identify with the club or the city etc etc. I am not suddenly going to say that everything is suddenly alright. It probably isn't. We have had many short lived false dawns. But, there is some hope and Pompey away, Stoke away, Watford at home (though it was a hard watch in many ways) and tonight has shown that somewhere, somehow there is some resilience and desire in the team coming through that has been missing for so long. Credit to Tonde if he is instilling this. Credit to the players for showing it. Just imagine what we could do, if we played well for 90 plus minutes. May be that will come. I am going to enjoy tonight and this result and if it means I have to eat humble pie, then so be it. | | | | |

We now have some hope for the future, we might not succeed this season, but we could well be looking forward to the next one with real hope

Still, as they say confession is good for the soul.

| Sometimes eating humble pie tastes good! on 04:30 - Feb 12 with 790 views | 1teeminants | Something has happened with the change of attitude of the players over the last few games. It started with sheff Utd at home. I could see they were giving it their all and it continued into the games following that. If you haven’t seen the players celebrating and punching the air and screaming after the Leicester game take a look, it’s shows real passion and determination this can only be a result of Tonda Eckert’s influence . No need to eat humble pie mate. We all care about this club. | |
