Normally I would agree with that statement but on his day he is the best central defender in the championship, he also scores goals and has made some vital assists. It would be difficult to find a better defender who would want to play in the championship so it’s a no brainer to go all out to keep him.

- Signing Peretz and Larin is great, but it doesn't improve the squad, it just means it's not weaker.
- We'll be able to tell if we've genuinely improved the squad because, if we have then we'll be vying for automatic promotion. We were the best in the league last year once we'd got our January squad, so if we improve on that squad this summer, then we'll be challenging for top spot by September. Only the relegated sides should be able to compete with us. Let's hope that's what happens. | | | |

Sorry you're correct though. It's next week or the week after when Stewart is injured. Why isn't he ready, he's been training? He’s missed less time than Larin and he’s ready to go. Let's be honest and unfortunately for him it's only a matter of time before Stewart gets a lengthy and possibly career ending injury.

Vipotnik almost certainly won’t be there at the end of the window, so I assume the other two you’re talking about are Adam Idah and Bobby Wales. Adam Idah scored 6 goals in 27 games last season. The season before he scored 8 goals in 30 league games for Celtic, which is cr@p bearing in mind Celtic ran away with the title finishing 17 points above 2nd place and totalling 118 goals for.
Bobby Wales played 12 goals last season and scored twice. The season before he played 34 games and scored twice.
So assuming Vipotnik leaves Swansea which is highly likely and we don’t buy another striker which is less likely we can compare Larin/Mubama with Idah/Wales.
Larin scored 8 goals in 16 league matches with 1 assist. Mubama played 26 games, scored 5 goals with 1 assist. Larin/Mubama last season – 42 games, 13 goals, 2 assists.

Solak promised we would have "just as a strong a squad as last season, if not stronger". Ofcourse he said this before the sale of season tickets and before anyone was sold. The players and manager said that they were closer together than ever. So prove it on the pitch. Yes, there is still time, but Sunday's performance did not show this.
If you promise your fans something, you're in trouble if you don't deliver it. Charles is a great player who scored vital goals against Arsenal, Boro, Leicester just off the top of my head. He hasn't been replaced yet and it will be difficult to replace a 30 million pound player. Larin and Peretz were here last season. If THB goes, he will also be very difficult to replace. Stewart has not been replaced IMO.

You are completely correct! But that is a totally different point to the question of whether or not signing them has strengthened the squad over what we had last year. If you list out the squad members from last year, post January, then list out the current squad members, you will find Peretz and Larin in both lists.
