Morriston Hospital A&E last night... three Chelski fans beaten to a pulp but only two jacks! 😂😂

You might think I've forgotten, but one day, when you least expect it, my time will come.

I remember that game, because I was working on the away end turnstyles!! It was an experience. I got sent there because I was younger than most of the other gatemen I think.
We didn't even have any police with us for about 20 minutes and your lot tried to get in at us!! The old Vetch turnstyles weren't very secure. A copper outside got on his radio and we got some relief...remember the Alamo!!!!!!!!!!!! well, they didn't get any relief but still

Must admit it was chaotic trying to get in that night, as you would know a lot of our idiots turned up that night as they always did when there was a chance of a rumble, probably that's what happened with you lot Saturday although i'm not getting into that.

That's why I couldn't be arsed to queue up, well I say queue, it was just a scramble to get in, people climbing all over each other, total chaos.

Having checked, I wasn't actually working the turnstyle, my dad was and I was there with him. I was too young to actually work it. That came a few years later (though I was still too young at 15!!)
But I was there, in the away end, and it was chaotic. We had a police escort back to the office because the way the West was back then, there was no option but to walk through the Cardiff fans, or go out of the ground and around. We went through. The West terrace was packed, the crowd was over 15000.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

I must admit that although I don't condone any violence even slightly, one of the funny memories I have from being down the Vetch as a youngster with my Granddad was playing Cardiff. Sitting in the Double Decker (where our seasons were) and there used to be a quite nerdy looking teenaged boy that used to sit a couple of seats down from us.

Cardiff fans were below us. We scored and the boy (who just seemed to lose it when we were playing despite him looking like a mini Bill Gates) went to the edge of the stand and started shouting down at the Cardiff fans. This was immediately followed by a hail of bottles being thrown up over the top of the double decker stand and hitting everyone sitting in the first couple of rows. Good times! Loved the reminder of Ante being sent off as well in the Welsh Cup at 2:1 - standing ovation from the entire ground :-)

Can anyone remember the match at Ninian when Cardiff came back from behind to draw 3 . 3.
When we scored the old tv footage shows Swans fans jumping up and down all over the ground.
But I cant remember any trouble even with fans mixed.

Lisa i'll tell you a story, I was in your funny stand that you called your new stand, only because I was with my dad and I wanted a peaceful day, it was the FA cup day when again you won 2-1.

Anyway I did not hide my allegiance that day as I suppose they were more human in that stand plus the fact it weren't full, but anyway I remember walking out and as you know the entrance was by the players tunnel and as I got there Jimmy Gilligan was giving it large as he had scored that day and I put two fingers up at him and believe it or not his face changed and went straight down the tunnel, True story.

Welsh Cup with John Willams scoring the third and possibly more?

ha ha - I tell you what Scooby, yes it's great being in the premier league and all the rest of it, but it somehow isn't as much fun as back in those days.

Have such wonderful memories of games at the Vetch (and at Ninian for that matter - I'll never forget that evening in the 'second play off' against Crystal Palace at a so called neutral venue in the cup. Sad times as well, of course, particularly that game when one of our supporters lost their life.

Been some great games between the two clubs over the years. I was trying to remember the game where the nerdy bloke got showered with bottles - I think it was when David Giles scored right at the end so must have been in the second division.

Lisa when we played you in that Welsh cup final we were down the Gower drinking and I met a relative that was belonging to that person that lost his life in Cardiff, I hope you don't think i'm bullshitting as i'd swear on my daughters life and I tell you i'd wouldn't say that lightly.

Anyway going back to the derbys, yes I love going to Swansea these past few years, I can't believe the welcome we get when we drive in!

yes - that was so sad - took the joy away from what was an unbelievable night. The bizarre thing about that game is that at the start all the Cardiff fans in there were obviously supporting CP, but as the game went on, it was almost like it became a Wales vs England match and some of the Cardiff fans started to support us. Really weird it was.

I haven't been to a game in Cardiff for years. As I live in London, I just can't bring myself to drive past Cardiff to Swansea to get a bus back to Cardiff. Back to Swansea and back past Cardiff again to get home.

However, I also can't trust myself to sit amongst Cardiff fans to avoid the hassle :-)

Yes if I remember right Gilo scored the winner in a 3-2 win for you after we were 2 up.

Forgiven Gilo for that as he is one of us as is one of yours, Andy Legg, a legend.
