The same summer that she disappeared we were holidaying in France. It consisted of about 10 villas around a swimming pool and was set about 5 minutes outside the town. We all had a meal in an adjoining barn one night away from the villas and ours were the only children present, all the others were left alone in the villas. Any of them could have been abducted or drowned in the pool and no one would have been any the wiser. Thats what people are like.

And the McCanns and their friends weren't benefit recipients but Doctors and othe professionals. Speaking to fellow shop floor factory workers at the time not ONE out of scores I encountered and had the same conversation with would have done what they did. Most recoiled in horror at the mere suggestion of leaving their much loved children unattended.

It's highly likely they did it because she was already dead.
