That's what one of my options was.
What about little boys being brought up by a single mum? What if a mother dies and a man brings up his kids? Can't a man be a good single parent if parents split up? The grandmother helped with the care of the children in this case - there are plenty of female role models for children - it doesn't have to be a mother.

I'm sorry, but for me in the main, the gay bit is not the important point especially when it comes to adoption. To give an adopted child the best chance of a better life i think it's vitally important it has a woman as a role model, whether it be a girl or a boy. We are biologically different, whatever your personal views on adoption are, that is a fundamental and undeniable fact i'm afraid. | | | |

I agree. I just believe that both male and female role models (which are equally important) can be found within the extended family or close friends and godparents. It doesn't need to be a 'Mother and Father' and to suggest otherwise does a great disservice to legions of wonderful single parent families and gay parent families. | | | |
