Clement has to go. Simple as that. Quicker the better. 08:24 - Nov 6 with 1692 viewsswansea68

Last season he had big game players to lead but now he needs to direct he doesn't know what to do . To watch him on the sidelines is pityful. He simply cannot even motivate with his hands and voice. He just looks down and lost. There are no leaders in the team. We don't have a voice amongst any of the players. Our Keeper is quiet. Our captain is quiet. Manson is the most vocal but is not playing with confidence . Our full backs are quiet. Midfield- KI doesn't speak . In fact there isn't 1 player who can Demand the respect of any other player. And that's dangerous thing to have in a side. We are desparate for a leader. Mesa is a leader but is he good enough. I think we got nothing to lose now and just play him. Roll on January 1st and let's hope we are only a point or 3 away from safety. We need a hard nosed midfielder and a big striker plus left back.

And personally I would have had them in yesterday training at 8am for a couple of hours Practising set pieces etc. Take them out of their comfort zone. When Tosh was managing Real Madrid they had big time Charlie's and were not performing. He has them training at 6am on a Monday morning . They protested . And he said ' if the bin men can go to work at 6am so can we '. And he won them over. Clement needs to do something different sharpish.

Devoid of confidence is the only thing it can be, there's no excuse for not getting the basics right, we, as amateur footballers learn this skill at 10 years olds, it never leaves you, granted, some are better than others but any outfield 'professional' player should be able to take a freaking corner FFS

Clement had clearly lost all confidence, tactically useless and not motivating our average group of players. Issue is what sane manager would come to our basket case of a club to work with Jenkins and the dimwits in control?

If they can't take a corner and really can't complete passes to a team mate 5-10 yards at most away.
If they can't motivate themselves to play in the most watched league in the World, even if it's to try and get a bigger payday, sorry transfer, away from our lovely ugly club...

Something is seriously wrong

If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious.

If it is true that "any outfield 'professional' player should be able to take a freaking corner FFS " why does just about every club in the Prem have one or maybe two "Specialist" player(s) who always takes the corners.
You do not see them rotating who takes them.

As well as PC position, there are other functions or departments within the club that needs addressing for example our recruitment process.

Our recruitment and mgt of transfers is shockingly poor. Our squad is weak, we have no leaders on the pitch. We need the right type of recruitment in the January transfer window. If not then I fear that we will be in a relegation battle right to the end of the season. But right now we are a rubbish proposition for payers wanting to play in the PL.

To many systems/formations week in week out, players out of position, no depth or quality of players in the squad and to many changes each week. Players unfit Etc Etc

PC has regularly assisted Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti at Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich and managed Derby. Great looks good on your CV but does he have the right skills to do a job in the PL???? Is he the right appointment for the club?

Do we need a Mgr rather than a head coach??

Something needs to change and quick, we are SCFC come on FFS!

I think most players, and even fans(!) can "take" a corner or free kick, even on heavy pitches. That means drifting it in there or thereabouts. The preferred set piece taker is usually someone who can reliably place the ball exactly where it is expected, as (hopefully) rehearsed in training etc.. The difference on Saturday that the vast majority of set pieces were so way out of accuracy it was embarrassing, and let Brighton off the hook time after time. All that on a carpet for a pitch too.

Your post clearly shows it is most certainly is not 'as simple as that'.
It is Jenkins that needs to go which will leave the Yanks to sort things out and I am not at all convinced they have the knowledge of the game to do this.
Clement is a decent coach who has been given a bum deal. A poor and late squad is now devasted by injuries leaving a team devoid of confidence. Any manager would struggle under such circumstances.
The Trust have a big role to play here but I have as little confidence in them as I do the Yanks.

It's shocking.

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

Clement may have been given a bum deal and I do agree to some extent but Bob Bradley was widely ridiculed for his time in charge of us without one transfer window, let alone two. This season, Clement's record is identical and we are arguably performing just as poorly (but in a different way).

To take 0 points from home games against newly promoted Brighton and Newcastle, managerless Leicester and Watford and away to crisis club West Ham is absolutely abysmal whichever way you look at it.

He's been here now for nearly a full season and that has included some absolutely shocking performances and runs of games.

Bradley had a much better side. A side Guidolin took Liverpool to the wire with.
Clement might have had a season in games played. Spread over two very different seasons however.
I could see this all coming a mile off even though I hoped for the best. After Monks first season nothing surprises me in football any more.
Unfortunately the fans turning on the players and management as a result of the culpable ones shocking transfer dealings was predictable as well.

Some good points in your post. I agree with you on HJ.

As for our American owners , Jason Levien's team DC United are bottom of the Eastern Confrence. Some similarities there lol!

Claude Makelele to join Eupen currently bottom of Belgians top flight. Why?

And PC says we are stuck in vicious cycle???
