Firestick question. 10:19 - Dec 10 with 3154 views | magicdaps10 | I could try this but dont want to mess about with it But You need to plug the firestick in to a power source for it to work, could I just put the USB in to the tv, would that then power the Firestick? I cant see an issue and would say yes, can anyone confirm it will work.

Firestick question. on 10:24 - Dec 10 with 3142 views | magicdaps10 | Is that a 100% Franchise? Its not an issue, just makes it look tidy without the wire.

Firestick question. on 11:56 - Dec 10 with 3065 views | WxmJax | Mine's only ever been powered from the telly's usb. You may have more than one usb on the telly so try them all, some give a power supply, some don't.

Firestick question. on 12:26 - Dec 10 with 3033 views | Lord_Bony | I use the power supply with mine but I have to pull it out of the usb port occasionally when it stops working put it back in then reboot. The Fire stick works far better on my dumb TV upstairs than it does as an app on the smart TV downstairs.Plus I can add apps to it like UK play. good bit of kit.I like the speech command.

Firestick question. on 16:45 - Dec 10 with 2941 views | STID2017 | I just did this on my Sharp Aquos Tv. It worked fine, so saves having a lead dropping from the Firestick to a USB adaptor at the plug socket. Happy days

Firestick question. on 21:38 - Dec 10 with 2843 views | SPboy | I’m a little confused. My Firestick is a HDMI connector and I use a HDMI switch device to flick between inputs from my Virgin box, android box & Firestick. Never tried it without the power connection, just assumed it wouldn’t work. Are you saying that your Firestick is a USB connector or did you mean HDMI ?

It is hdmi to tv. The power cable that runs off the Firestick has a usb with a plug head on.......take plug head off and run the USB to the back of your tv.

Exactly. A micro usb goes in the side of the firestick then the other end of that lead goes into a usb adaptor which comes with your firestick to plug into the mains. Take the usb lead out of the adaptor end and plug into a usb connection on your tv. The other connection from the firestick is a hdmi which has to go into a hdmi connection on the tv. All the best
