Possibly gave them too much respect in first half.
A different team in the second half and at least tammy had a chance to win the long ball compared to poor liitle Dyer in the first.
Full marks to Tom. Set up some lovely moves and didnt mind nipping at Pogba's heels. Tammy had a go and has that beautiful little touch in his bag that can break open a defence. Wish he smashed that cross at De Gea rather than the selfless bunt back across goal! |  | | |

Been a little disappointed in Tammy of late, thought he also played well.

Major problem not having an outlet up front in the first half. Corrected but too late. Lucky not to lose 6 nil. Did as well as expected with the result and second half rally. Quite a few teams around who may come goo. Stoke and Southampton we have to hope do not start getting results. Pleased with the changes but hopefully Jordan returning will give us a toe hold in games and ability to score first. Today was never in doubt but good to see some erratic performers show some real commitment and energy. |  | | |

With the above average wages being dished out.. they're mediocre run of the mill Championship standard.
But it's the way the world is going.. people who get paid stupid amounts for having literal no ability above average.
You could say give them a chance.. but it's mental.
Dyer and Routledge have earned considerable amounts for very little output in their tenure.. but I don't pay their pay packet.. never will. |  |

Seems Carlos can't win.
If makes changes too early and it all goes wrong he gets critised, same if he makes them at H/T or later.

None of us pay their wages directly.
Some of us contribute by attending matches, buying goods which go into the coffers of the club, but the only way your statementbis true is if you never attend live matches.
If true, that's sad.
Yes football, and the PL has gone money mad and average players earn incredible money.
Also our scouting has been poor, as well as awarding contracts to players who should have moved on.
We need a clear out in the summer, but don't believe the money is there to rebuild a better squad | |

Carroll is not without ability. He played well last season. Clement's relentless negativity had more of an effect on him than most though so he's had a pretty shitty year. Make or break for him this summer.
Abraham definitely has ability but we've largely failed to play the kind of football he needs to use his natural game. We chuck a striker in after minimal game time and expect him to do a job he just can't do. Stupid. |  |

It's very frustrating for us fans and i imagine even more so for Carlos !
It proves the low overall quality of the squad and probably explains why we are in the position we're in .
From one week to the next you never quite know the performance level of 40% of the team, Tammy looked world class yesterday at times but he's been mostly rubbish during his time here, Tom Carol was awesome when coming on, using the ball effectively , but he's had a poor season overall.
Ki has been great recently but was invisible yesterday, ditto our centre halves in the first half, bloody annoying as fook to watch when you know every player can do better.
Let's just hope that the Swans players were looking one game further and keeping themselves in condition for that!
Truth is that it was always going to be difficult against a strong united team who are far far better than the hate Jose media make out .
We can take huge plus points from the second half but it does make you wonder about the mental toughness of some of those players, ability is there, consistency isn't .
Carlos has improved the team but if we stay up we need at least 4 good players to upgrade and replace . |  | | |
