Fresh fury over The Real Full Monty 11:16 - Apr 13 with 2082 views | theloneranger | "Fresh fury over The Real Full Monty as it is revealed the men and women were paid £10,000 each. - as charity event raised just £4,000" There were some great stories written on this forum when these 2 Full Monty shows were shown live on ITV.. What are your views now that it has been divulged that each celebrity was paid £10K each to take part?? This means that the ITV paid out £160K to the celebs, but 6 cancer charities only shared £4218 between them. ITV have said the shows were not about money and charity, but Cancer Awareness, eventhough it was advertised on their website as charity. So, is it about Money, Or Awareness, Or Both?? Do you think these 16 celebs should donate their £10K to charity?? ( or a portion of it) OR... if ITV have messed up on their advertising, they donate £160K to the 6 cancer charities and the celebs keep their money. https://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/fresh-fury-over-real-full-12355335 [Post edited 13 Apr 2018 11:37]

Unbelievable, but not really surprising these days, basically making money off other peoples misery, I know they all have to make a living, but it still leaves a sour taste.

Yep, making money out of other people's misery? BANG ON! Celebrities do indeed exploit and shamelessly ride on the back of a charity to fill their boots and to create self publicity/PR bullsh@t. Absolutely f#cking disgusting! Take another example of how low a celebrity will stoop? The surname of this celebrity and no stranger to greed/self publicity initiatives?......... Beckham! Victoria Beckham and her (*cough, cough, cough*) charity mission to help poverty stricken Cajun kids. The very (*cough, cough, cough*) charity mission that turned to be a ‘product placement’ initiative whereupon her husbands ADIDAS sponsors merchandise was handed out in the glare (*cough, cough, cough*) of pre-arranged photography and self publicity. Oh and that (*cough, cough, cough*) Hello Magazine ‘exclusive’ really did come with some exclusive intent, did it not folks?..... Yep! They think we’re mugs! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1227770/Victoria-Beckham-takes-son-

There was no phone in to contribute so I suppose the only money raised came from the tickets sold for the shows. It would have made more sense (and raised more money) to ask for donations.

oops typo but Betty is an imaginary yet real character that could work in any of the charity shops. The world of charity would be up in arms if our volunteers in said shops were getting paid major wonga.
