I remember asking that in the central police station in Liverpool some years ago and was told it MIGHT be ok outside the police station, anywhere else good luck. Leeds was worse, they said ‘nowhere’.
The car park outside Morgan’s is fine (not sure if it belongs to the hotel? That was in the days I’d stay there). |  |

What about high street car park by the train station? I think the parking is free on a Sunday, and from what I have seen in the past, the barriers are open. |  |

Honestly I was told that I would be guaranteed to get my car stolen from there. That was about 15 years ago mind you, but it was notorious. | |

Think it's alright now? I was down there last year doing a boot sale, there was a security guard walking the floors, think he clocks off 6am, plus you have cctv cameras. Seen some really expensive cars parked up there. | |

Depends where you are going. I’d park down the Sandfields and walk into town. Wouldn’t take long. It’s a residential area and therefore as safe as can be expected. Stay out of the residents’ bays though. |  |
