Oli McBurnie: Why he is liked.... 20:08 - Jan 13 with 4057 viewsThrasher6

Oli McBurnie has been one of the greats for us. His record is second to none...non negotiable. But like many others (who I will list) he transcends an ordinary player into something different. Mostly it's a character thing....these guys are interesting...engaging...and they buy into our club. We like that...they are one of us:
Here's a list I will start but feel free to add..
Oli McBurnie
Angel Rangel
Chico
Leon Britton
Lee Trundle
Andy Robinson
Martinez....?

Look I have missed a lot...but over to you...

Just add my North Bank favourite Bob Latchford, just got on with his job of scoring

goals but underrated by the England selection panel at that time .

22 goals in his first full season in the Championship says otherwise...

Yes plus he’s come on as a sub 11 times

And two cup appearances incl one start

So four goals from his 22 appearances in total

Only an idiot would eat a turkey curry on Christmas day

I have to say describing him as "one of the greats" with a "record second to none" is stretching the truth just a little.

His record last season was fantastic and I dread to think where we would have been without those goals and that got him a well deserved chance in the Premier League. But that doesn't qualify him as a great not a second to none record IMO.

Pretty much anyone of our first division side could have been added to that list based on the qualifying criteria.

Kristian O'Leary was in the away end yesterday.

Good for Kris, I think he goes to games reasonably often. Good for any of our ex players who still love the club enough to turn up. The more the better.

Fans love him because they can identify with him. He’s very approachable, has a bit of mischief in him and he loves the Swans. He’s got more in common with the average fan than most Premier league footballers.

Possibly the most stupid statement ever made on this website .
