Aldi have venison burgers for £1.99, the taste is superb.

Before lockdown, I went shopping at a big out of town supermarket here called Family Cash. They've got a huge fresh meat counter including a section devoted to their own handmade burgers, about 20 or 30 different varieties. I'd had their steakburgers before and they were great, so I pointed to them again and said "quattro". The server said "potro?", and me thinking that's what they were called, said "si".
When I got outside, I thought I'd check what cut of beef 'potro' was on the phone translator. Answer: horse (colt).
The mate's dog had them! Would you have eaten them? Cue terrible puns. |

Like cows, they're vegetarians, so that's OK, and they're not as intelligent as pigs, who probably know what's about to happen to them.
