Any books on the go? 13:53 - Oct 20 with 3835 viewsLohengrin

A couple of excellent titles here for the politicos among us. I’ve been revelling in these this last week. Bullock’s a good writer and he’s done a first rate job of extricating men and their ideas from the oblivion of time.

Don’t waste any time in lockdown vegetating in front of the telly when you can profit from it by learning. It can give you the keys to doors you didn’t previously know existed.

An idea isn't responsible for those who believe in it.

I would love to go there. It’s claimed in this book in some parts of the line the truce went on til Easter. It was the sinking of the luistiana that reignited anti German sentiment.

Here you go. I remember watching this when it first aired.

Actually, yes. I finished this up recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. Another larger-than-life figure from decades past who would probably be politically homeless in 2020.

Anyone read any Discworld by Terry Pratchett? My 2021 goal is to read a book every ten days, and I've read two of his works thus far - The Colour of Magic and Mort. Any suggestions or favourites from this franchise?

Yes both of those plus and the "Colour of magic" too. My wife has read all the Discworld books and says they're brilliant.
