We give money to India & China, who both have space programs. We gave Rwanda £64 million, they then gave £30m to Arsenal to have "Visit Rwanda" on their shirt sleeves

Meanwhile lets cancel a few more operations at Singleton or the Heath to help out the country currently collecting rocks off the moon. [Post edited 30 Nov 2020 16:34]

I didn't actually say Longshanks made us a country just that Wales wasn't actually a country when he annexed it. If it hadn't been for an "King of England" ( to keep Highjack happy ) then the Welsh "Principalities" would probably still be arguing amongst themselves....well the Demetae and the Silures never really stopped. did they? Wales is not in prison, you keep saying that and it's true. We are in the Union because we choose to be. Every time we take part in a GE we mandate Westminster to run the UK of which we are legally a part. |
You are applying the Anglo Saxon standard for national structures, like kings and queens. That is just one version. Having a more federal structure rather than a hierarchy does not make Wales any less of a nation. In fact you could argue its far more advanced. Wales is not in prison - good we are agreed. General elections are not the same as a referendum, otherwise why Brexit and why Scottish Indy 1 ? No - the welsh people need to have a say, and the only real discussion is when. 30 per cent in Wales are now fully on board for Indy. Lets have the national debate.

They fecking borrow it all mun ... The UK is massively in debt. Wales cant afford to stay part of this. ‘General government gross debt was £1,876.8 billion at the end of the financial year ending (FYE) 2020, equivalent to 84.6% of gross domestic product (GDP),’

30% of the whole population eh, well that's more than voted for devolution. In fact it's around the same number as those who bothered to vote! The only standard I am applying is the current standard. The one we live by. If Wales didn't vote, if we ignored a general election we could say we don't mandate Westminster nor recognise it, but we do. Last time around we mandated an unusually large number of Tory MP's too. 30% may seem like enough to you but until a big enough proportion of Wales demand it, we won't have a referendum. Even then our current leaders don't want it. Drakeford is happy to stay in the UK because, I think, he wants Westminster to keep on blaming for Welsh Labours shortcomings. As much chance of Cardiff winning the Premier league as Wales voting for independence.

Makes me think there should only be one pension provider and all companies should pay into it, the national pension service could then increase payments to everybody. It'd stop the kind of shenanigans Phillip Green gets up to!

I tend to agree. The 30 per cent need to get behind Plaid in 2021 for The Senedd Cymru elections. Welsh Labour favour Devo max, but the only thing on offer from Johnson is Devo min. Seemingly perm English Tory govt in Westmonster treats Wales in an abusive manner. Time to get serious.

Permanent labour government in the welsh assembly treats the welsh people with contempt. Government in Westminster alternates between labour and conservatives every so often. A chance for both parties to implement their policies. One party state in Wales time for a change.

Plaid peaked in 1999, it's been pretty much all downhill ever since. The best they ever managed was 28.3 % share of the vote. In 2016 even the tories beat them. Welsh Labour favour blaming other people for their rubbish. Imagine devo max with the current mob, how much more must Wales suffer at the Senedds hands? Your fine if you live in the South East, otherwise you may as well live in Mongolia.
