We give money to India & China, who both have space programs. We gave Rwanda £64 million, they then gave £30m to Arsenal to have "Visit Rwanda" on their shirt sleeves

| Foreign Aid slashed on 12:28 - Nov 26 by Kilkennyjack | The welsh people did not vote to join any union with England. Any debt is Englands debt, wales had no say. However we should , of course, discuss reparations for 800 years of occupation. The welsh border would be an EU border as per the north of Ireland statelet. They will have sorted by January 21 so dont lose any sleep fella. |
We are legally part of the UK and legally we owe a share of the debt, or would you happily break the law? Prison for you then! It wouldn't be an EU border because we are not EU members and as pointed out many times, we voted to leave. How many times have I said this, we don't meet the Copenhagen criteria for EU membership and it could take decades to be ready to apply for membership. I won't (and don't) lose any sleep over this because I'm not the one in a fantsay world who only believes democracy is right when it tallies with his wishes. PS, all those Euro countries who don't have nukes, how many are members of NATO and protected by the nukes ourselves and the USA have?

Let me help .... Umbrella arrangements for NATO protection are a good thing. The £205 billion i referred to was for Trident replacement, ie our very own unilateral nuclear deterrant. Other countries dont have this bar France. You cant have countries invading another country, passing a law by force of arms to say its all one country now - and that being acceptable to any international court. Wales is not in prison, you idiot. The welsh people through the UN charter have the same right as any other nation on earth to self determination. Please note that long dead people from 800 years ago will not get any say. Its ONLY the people of wales who decide whats right for wales. Not Johnson and not Mogg. If you dont think the EU will welcome a united Ireland, a free Scotland and a free Cymru with open arms you have not been paying attention. They would do it to prove Brexit was always deeply flawed and wrong if nothing else. You have Stockholm syndrome, look it up.

Nuclear weapons will never be fired - therefore total waste. Not so with conventional weapons given events in Iraq, Syria, Libya, and Afghanistan. Especially the constant spill over in Europe. Good for our boys and girls to have the right kit dont you agree ?

He lives in a fantasy land. Why would the EU welcome new members who would be net receivers of EU aid which the EU currently cannot afford. The EU had learnt from it past mistakes in accepting countries who do not meet its fiscal terms for membership. Not sure the people of NI, Scotland and Wales would accept the use of the EU which is now compulsory for new members. Spain would certainly veto their membership applications they would not want to set a precedence for Catalonia and the Basque region to leave Spain. France would also veto their membership unless they had full access to fish in their waters either.

The EU wants to expand. They deliberately develop nations like Poland to increase the size of the EU marketplace. The EU can then sell into these new markets and grow. The EU are actively speaking to Comrade Nicola and Drakers. Its nailed on. No Spain has regions, but wales and Scotland are distinct nations. England is not Wales, nor Scotland. Contrast to Spain. No - Wales and Scotland will not give a shite about fish cos its only 1/10 of 1 per cent. They would focus on the other 99.9 per cent of the economy. Unless it would pish off the likes of Farage, in which case we should gift our fishing to , say, the Somalia navy/pirates just to upset them. 100 per cent worth it.

You clearly do not know anything about the history of Spain do you. Spain was not created until 1491 is was several independent kingdoms joined together. The United kingdom is one country not four countries . Parts of Spain were independent more recently than Wales was independent. The former countries that make up Spain even have their own languages . You have still not answered my question as to why you beloved Ireland ony gives such a small percentage of its GDP in foreign aid? 45% of the generous UK which currently is the second highest in the world.

Of coure it is Boundy. We always see right is bad ,left is good. It has always been thus. I wish our country was more right wing and left wing but it depend on how you view things which is why it is wise not to be either right or left wing,if one can help it. If one is born poor/deprived it doesnt mean you have to stay that way. The left seems to hate people becoming wealthy and choosing how to spend their money

I wouldn’t say so, no. I was there not that long ago and I discerned more of a Catholic revival than anything else; that would stray into politics no doubt, the edges become blurred, but it defies the simple categorisation you are attempting to apply.

“ You cant have countries invading another country, passing a law by force of arms to say its all one country now - and that being acceptable to any international court” But that’s exactly what the Welshman Henry Twdwr did with his welsh army under the banner of the dragon of Cadwaladr in 1485. Contemporary reports suggested that Henry’s foot soldiers surrounded the king and a huge Welshman did thwack his skull open with a halberd. Then after this force of arms his son, a proud descendant of one of the ancient welsh families that fought alongside Glyndwr himself said it’s all one country now. If anything we should be paying them reparations not the other way round.

No, what I have is a right to vote in UK elections and Wales gives Westminster it's mandate by taking part in general elections. Yoy behave as if Wales is being kept in a prison but you well know that the majority of Wales still chooses to remain in the UK, and you call me an idiot? Should I report you for repeated personal abuse? When Wales votes for Indy that's when we'll have mandate to leave and not before. Again though your version of democracy is entirely what you believe is right. The EU's own rules say countries cannot join until they meet the Copenhagen criteria. If they are so willing to take 3 broke and maybe broken countries in just to snub England then I think other individual members may have a say on that. The prospect of taking more finanicail burden on won't appeal, specially after covid. As I am not being held prisoner by anybody I cannot possibly have Stockholm syndrome. PS, the Nuke thing, if NATO broke up and those Euro countries no longer had the protection of the USA and ourselves to rely on, what do you think they might do? It's not that I believe in nukes but the politicians seem to. The EU wants it's own military capability, I reckon it'll want nukes one day too.

Legally Kilk, please try and understand, Wales is part of the UK, we are not members of the united nations. 1542 was the last time wales was a principality. To be a principality then a prince has to make the laws. Prince Charles, for example, makes no laws. Wales is is nation today. I know this is hard for you to understand. England is also a nation. Scotland is a nation. Ireland is a nation, (Northern Ireland is not a nation). I guess the term United Kingdom should tell you it aims to represent all these nations ... in a United way ... 🤷â€â™‚ï¸ Please educate yourself.

Of course we are not members of the UN. These are the people who matter ..... the International Standards Organisation (ISO), which describes itself as the world’s largest developer and publisher of International Standards and a network of the national standards institutes of 162 countries. They have corrected their previously erroneous classification of wales as a principality. Its been corrected to show Wales as a nation, on equal status to England and Scotland. Factually Wales is a nation, its not a debate.
