Nope.

Remain was right.

That's very less to do with brexit but a lot to do with the pandemic.

So relatively good news for the UK but the EU,

I can't celebrate or enjoy the EU economy being in such a mess but I can feel relieved that the UK is doing better than expected and being outside the EU is helping. Selfish I know but I never claimed to be perfect.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

You're a remainer, see taxman, myself and OHL have different political opinions yet we don't pigeon hole each other as Tory or Labour.

It all comes down to my criticsms of Drakeford. You are a Drakers fan boy and can't stand people saying nasty things about him. You want me to be a Tory because in your warped opinion someone can't criticise Drakeford unless they are Tory.

That's why you are a sheep.

Not a sheep at all. Just someone who actually acts in accordance with political beliefs and doesnt advocate voting for a party whose beliefs are the exact opposite to what he claims.

You have claimed you believe in being cautious yet vote against the most cautious leader in the UK. The leader who went into the firebreak lockdown earliest and you want to support someone who failed to act decisively and went into firebreak later by which time the cases in England had rocketed. Similarly with lockdown. Drakeford acted with caution by going into lockdown first.

You make comments but your actions are the opposite.

Sadly Drakeford's misguided two week firebreak was too short. It ended without any restrictions leading to people from the highest infected areas in Wales travelling everywhere in Wales spreading the virus.

Drakeford's words after he ended the firebreak " the people of Wales would not put up with further restrictions:

At least Scotland and England had a tiered system of restrictions which worked unti the Kent variant appeared.

Meanwhile in Wales cases and deaths increased exponentially in Wales. Why do we think Drakeford for this.

Thankfully the UK vaccine programme is bringing normality near.

Im afraid your first paragraph really does brand you -so to speak.

What exactly are beliefs and how are they best articulated?
You would be in a real mental state worrying about that.

Just see things as they are and act accordingly.

Ergo,if the Tories come up with something which you agree with then vote for them.Yeah, vote Conservative and tell your chums at the same time.See how they react in the valley.

Parties have different philosophies. Take the current virus. The Tories have consistently believed in opening things up and being reluctant to go into lockdowns. Labour and indeed most other parties have acted by putting public health first. I dont believe in opening borders, allowing international travel and opening pubs, nightclubs or pop concerts until the public get vaccinated. Interestingly reading your comments so do you yet you want to vote for the party that believes in actually doing these.Perhaps you ought to be thinking of supporting a party that actually supports what you believe in rather than voting for a party like a sheep,

Question, do you 100% back absolutely everything that Labour does and has done?

As I have already told you numerous times, I make whatever I consider to be the est decision at the time regardless of party loyalties. I won't narrow my reasons for voting down to a very narrow corridor, I'll look at the bigger picture.

Again you generalise without being able to disprove any of my points you just repeat the mantra of voting for a party that's the opposite of my claims. When I look at Welsh Labour I see 20 years of failure in Wales. I choose not to vote for more failure, I choose to look elsehwere to see if anybody could do better. You are too wrapped up in Labour ideology to even think of wanting better, to you anything outside what you accept is wrong never mind the evidence.
Tell me again why schools in Wales are worse than schools in England? tell me again why, before the pandemic the waitng ltime for hip replacements in Wales was EIGHT times as long as in England? Tell me why it's a good thing that most of Wales is stagnating while the Senedd spends billions in SE Wales? Tell me again why we spend hundreds of millions on a failing airport when we haven't got enough teachers, NHS staff or police?

No need because I know what you'll say, you'll defend Labours record no matter what because you are a SHEEP. You'll defend Drakeford and spout criticisms of BOJO which, while true are completely irrelevant. You'll repeat that I'm obviously a tory despite the majority of my core beliefes being left of centre.

Vote Labour if you want but a lot of us are willing to step outside the comfort zone of party loyalty and say, if something isn't working we'll try something different. It doesn't make us tories, it makes us brave enough to stop voting the same way and expecting something different.
If I do end up voting tory it will be because that great steaming idiot RT Davies will look like a better choice than Drakeford.

Now think back to the GE, tens of thousands of lifelong Labour voters turned blue because they believed BOJO was a better choice than Corbyn, they are not tories they are just people searching for the best choice, I've no doubt they'll vote Labour again because Starmer looks a much better option that Corbyn and that is the point, you know I think Drakeford and Gething are useless, useless to the point I would consider voting Tory.
If the tories won and things continued to get worse then next time I would vote different again but always voting the same way because "Tories bad" is not sensible.

If thousands across the so called "Red Wall" turn blue, are they all tories?

Last thing, me where I have actually supported the tories? Where have I said the tories are great, shiow me where I have stuck up for a tory. All you have is a generalisation about who I MIGHT vote for and my ongoing criticisms of Drakeford and Gething.

He was a big hero of the far left not the working classes. How anybody who has voted over 300 times against his own party is still there I find astounding. Him and his friends made Labour unelectable at the last election. Corbyn, McDonnell and Abbott should never have been in their positions. I dont honestly believe they should still have been in the Labour party given that they constantly opposed the Party.

In a situation when anyone to the right of Corbyn is smeared as a "Racist, Gammon, Fascist" it's not surprising that most will prefer to keep quiet and do their talking in the polling booth.

The more this nonsense goes on the more the likes of ex-HMRC and Kilks will end up losing.

Yes. There was a guy about 4 or 5 doors down Heol-y-llwynau who was mates with Heseltine years ago. Others too. Total bullshit from OHG. People vote the way that want too. I know many who vote Plaid as well. Indeed our councillor and most of the community councillors these days are younger and Plaid. Used to be all Labour and older. Our next door neighbours when I was a kid were a big Tory family.

I think the truth there is people will be careful who they tell their political beliefes too, we saw on here the kind of abuse doled out to those who vote blue.

Now taxman, you have criticised Corbyn but face it, we were talking about Wales. I should have put Welsh in front of it.
It's a funny thing, you brand me because I criticise Drakeford yet you quite happily criticise Corbyn.
Besides, I didn't ask what you thought of Corbyn, did I? I thought I asked if you agreed 100% with everything Labour did. I guess denouncing Corbyn can be taken as a no. Yet I don't accuse you of being tory for that. You see it's ok to disagree with a politician or a party, it's ok to hold different views to the concensus in any party, it's called having a mind of your own.
I could never have voted for Corbyn, as many other previously Labour voters decided. Now I say that I cannot vote for Drakeford. Not because I love the tories but because I believe Drakeford and Welsh Labour are bad for most of Wales and need replacing. It shouldn't be a diificult concept.
You also willingly ignore the several times I have said I could vote for Starmer.

It all still comes back to one obvious thing, you simply do not understand what a floating voter is and if you actually do, you are so desperate to defend Drakeford you will use anything to try and brand me a tory. It wouldn't matter if I voted Starmer tomorrow, I'm just not allowed to criticise Drakeford.

You talk absolute nonsense. Last summer I was criticised on here because I didnt want pubs or indeed gyms open when Drakeford opened them.

I actually believe the firebreak was 2 weeks too late which Drakeford spent trying to get other leaders on board.

None of this makes ant difference. Drakeford has handled this well. The evidence backs that up but you dont like Drakeford so cannot see it. Todays figures show Wales a hundred point surplus over England. This is despite having more of the most at risk people and major problems in 4 or 5 Valley Areas.

You can carry on with your Drakeford hatred. It doesnt alter the facts.

I think I touched a nerve! I don't hate Drakeford I just think he's useless. I didn't hate Thatcher either. Not liking someone as a person means knowing them and I don't know Drakeford. I'm sure he's a nice enough bloke.

Not liking what they do as politicians is completely different, no hate involved.

When You didn't want pubs or gyms opened that means you disagreed with Labour, it doesn't mean you are tory.
If you remember, at the time I said the firebreak was too short, it should have been months not weeks, I also disagreed with Bojo opening up too quickly. That means I disagreed with both Labour and Tory...must mean I'm a libdem eh.
I also said everybody at the Senedd caught drinking should be sacked regardless of party.

Maybe one day you'll get your head around what a floating voter is but if you can't understand that properly, maybe you should consider whther voting is a wise choice for you. If you can't grasp that I'm not a supporter of ANY political party how can you grasp more complex political ideas?

There is no evidence that Drakeford has handled this well. He's been and continues to be an absolute disaster.

Recent evidence suggests that deaths (on one measure) and infections may now be below England but that is only recently the case. And is despite a longer lockdown and the Kent variant only becoming dominant in Wales during lockdown when it had been spreading like wildfire in SE England.

Of course its only you who is satisfied that we are ahead of England in some measures. I'm not happy that we are in a massively worse position than Scotland and Northern Ireland.

I honestly think you're perfectly happy with the disaster that Drakeford is overseeing because, for clear reason and only according to some measures Johnson has performed slightly worse. Its quite pathetic.

You would never see Drakeford as doing well. You oppose everything he does. You wanted everything open last year. It was done as you wanted and led to a lockdown.

As far as the Kent variant is concerned it was the main variant in Wales in December. I posted a quote from Wales Chief Scientist a few days ago confirming it was the driving force in the rise in Wales before Christmas.

You dont accept that because it doesnt suit your agenda.

On 13 December when Hancock announced the Kent variant it was present in 57 counties in the UK. 45 in England and 6 each in Wales and Scotland. It was present in more cases pro rata in Wales than in England.

You consider Drakeford to e a disaster because he hasnt opened gyms and pubs or made plans for opening airports and nightclubs. Your policies that failed last year that Drakeford is attempting to avoid this year. It is looking very unlikely Johnson isnt going to be able to open overseas travel. Why announce a policy that isnt likely to happen.Who does that help.
