Do we really advance our knowledge by travelling-as we used to anyway.
Or do we simply get taken in by the tourism trail.

Is the only way to increase knowledge of a country is to live there for a significant period of time.

I have learned a lot travelling, about the places AND the people. I hope to travel a lot more soon.
I always look to go to places of historical interest, I've never been one for the beach all day every day.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Sadly, being a shallow farker,I love the beach and the water.

That' s what being born and bred a Gower boy does for you.

Yes.

Most of my travelling is for work. You meet and see how locals live, eat and travel.

Nothing like an Ethiopian taxi-bus!

Ah now then, I said no beach, I love the sea, love going out on boats. As I am also a fair weather swimmer a trip to a Mediterranean coast is always an excuse to get out on a boat and go for a dip in the Med

Not keen on boats as the farkers sink

I actually quite like cold water wild swimming. It makes one feel alive.

Yes it really is worth it because the more you travel the more you start to find out that people are just people just like the rest of us and not horrible, nasty, weird,...etc which is what the 1% of the of us want you to believe so they can gain from it. I've been to totally different places from South Africa to Borneo to Iceland and what you find is that people are just like me and you.....but don't tell anyone

Stop The Boats !
