| Freddie Woodman isn’t good enough 10:29 - Apr 25 with 3302 views | KeithHaynes | There has been a lot of talk about Woodman leaving Newcastle because of his desire to play first-team football, however he and his dad Andy have made it public knowledge that the 24-year old’s dream is to be the Magpies’ number one. By Rob Lee, ex Newcastle, this is a quote from yesterday. “At this moment he is not better than Dubravka and he’s also not better than Karl Darlow, but he is potentially very good. He’s not better than those two at the moment, so why would you make him your number one?” | |

| Freddie Woodman isn’t good enough on 18:04 - Apr 27 by jack247 | ‘Watching Woodman when an attacker is running at him one on one has brought us some of the most hilarious moments I’ve ever experienced watching Swansea City’. Does that pass for constructive criticism in your book? |
You've taken one sentence from my post which contained a further six sentences where I continued to discuss the same point. It feels like I'm talking to Lisa. I'm sure I could cherry pick a few words from one of your posts and twist it to suit any agenda I wanted to pursue against you - alas I wont as I don't resort to randomly insulting other posters on this forum for simply expressing their views regarding the football club we both support.

Yes you will. You implied that I hadn’t had a proper education because I quite correctly stated you slag off our players. Top marks on the passive aggression. I’m not going to rise to that, I was just providing and example of you slagging one of our players, same thread as it goes.

What is slagging off exactly? Explain in less than 100 words. Dwight is the least offensive poster on here.Far less so than you and infinately less than me. Woodman is garbage and anyone with any perspective can see it. Constructive criticism? Just how and mighty an arrogant slant is that. We are fans and fans are not and dont have to be constructive. The manager constructs and often destructs as this clown is doing. If fans do not slag off ,as you say, then you have a soulless ,anodyne pile of crap. Not for me

Sorry. I misquoted Dwight. He claimed he was ‘criticising (them) objectively’, he didn’t say ‘constructive criticism’. It’s up to you if you think he is taking a mighty and arrogant stance by criticising objectively. I wouldn’t, if that’s what I thought he was doing.

He isnt arrogant. No way.I dont agree with him on some things but he can teach most of us what decent posting is about.Much of what we post is,lets face it,personal, bitchy, and wrapped up in old agenda because years ago, some of us saw our backsides .I got seriously angry over my views on Kevin Spacey-the ACTOR and being accused of supporting paedophiles because I questioned historical allegations of sexual asaults.I still do. QUESTIONED. This is what perpetuates and leaks into many of our posts. It used to be Gower,De Vries ,Vorm;now it's Woodman At the end of the day,it's just a farking football forum

Quoting Dwight. But granted, I said constructive instead of objective. As it happens, I don’t think constructive or objective criticism is arrogant or mighty at all. Only a lunatic would. I just don’t agree that’s what Dwight does. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

We're fans on a fans message board, not teachers/coaches. We're well within our rights to criticise without offering solutions. Argue with someone if they're wrong, but tone policing people for not being "constructive" comes across as a bit arrogant, yeah.

No one has done that. I’ve stated that Dwight slags off our players. He has responded saying he doesn’t, he criticises objectively. OHL has misread it, decided the term ‘constructive criticism’ is arrogant if I say it, but not if Dwight does. Not much else to see here.

There's no double standard here, you're the person who brought "constructive criticism" into the discussion and were called arrogant for it. Are you expecting people to call Dwight arrogant for something you incorrectly claimed he said?

As I’ve already explained, my opinion is that Dwight routinely slates our players, his is that he criticises them objectively. When quoting him, I used the word constructive instead of objective. Putting pedantry to one side, you know there is minimal difference. As I’ve also already explained, only a lunatic would find constructive/objective criticism arrogant. I’ll admit, I found it a little puzzling when OHL found it arrogant when thought I had brought it up, but changed his mind when I explained Dwight had,

You know nothing as to what is in my mind 247.I don't myself. You are kidding yourelf ,butt, truly you are.Just take me at face value and reply to my posts.Look no further than that. I wish no ill on anyone on here right now.Sure ,some make me squirm but that's down to me. Now then,I asked a question, which you failed to answer. What exactly is "slagging off". In this context, it is looking for weaknesses in players (which every one of our players has) and highlighting them repeatedly whilst deliberately ignoring anything they do well. It’s fairly obvious that Dwight knows what he is talking about and articulates it well. A bit of praise (only when merited) alongside the barrage of criticism and ridicule and he’d be a great poster. Unfortunately, he won’t do that (Andy Cole might) because he gets a kick out of being negative. Finding Woodmans mistakes hilarious is a good example. While we’re on the subject of unanswered questions, who was the last Swansea keeper you rated?
| Freddie Woodman isn’t good enough on 13:36 - Apr 28 with 397 views | onehunglow | Thanks for the reply. That is NOT slagging off as I see it.Not remotely. It's me though. Last players I rated HIGHLY How about this Cliff Jones Ivor Nurse Mel Charles Derek Draper Geoff Thomas Johnny King(our own flying pig) Tosh Robbie Curt Leighton Ante Jimmy Molby Mike Hughes (shockingly short career,a keeper with real balls) Martinez Bony Gylfi (the best ever) Ash Ayew. Now ..how about those you do NOT rate | |

That’s your prerogative. In my view, seeking out negatives and purposely ignoring positives forms a deliberately negative misrepresentation. You don’t have to swear or use names like Rotledge to slag players off. Finding our own players mistakes hilarious speaks for itself. That wasn’t the question I asked. Seeing as you don’t rate Woodman and didn’t rate Fabianski or Vorm (can’t remember if you also included DeVries), I asked which Swansea goalkeeper you last rated. I didn’t use the word HIGHLY and can’t see why you would provide a list of outfield players unless you were trying to avoid the question?
| Freddie Woodman isn’t good enough on 13:58 - Apr 28 with 391 views | onehunglow | My apologie. I missed the keeper bit However,I did mention Johnny Kong as he was the first I remember I was at Anfield in 64 for THAT cup game so Noel Dwyer has a place in my heart Jimmer Rimmer was good although obviously past his best Dave Stewart was commanding. Dai was "entertaining" Fabianski was very very good although he could be flaky sometimes There we are. A decent exchange though and that is my perogative too Now enjoy the afternoon ubugger | |

Thank you. Kind of puts the downer on Woodman into perspective I suppose. To answer your question Conor Hourihane (talent but no heart) Jordi Lopez Cedric van der Gunn Borja Baston Ki (see Conor Hourihane) Jefferson Montero (as a starter, I accept he could be a game changer off the bench in the Championship) Mo Barrow Chico (not that I didn’t rate him per se but I did think he was overrated) David N’Gog Josh McEchran Kristoffer Nordfeldt Erwin Mulder Sam Clucas Darren Way Renato Sanches (was excited when we signed him). There are probably loads more that will come to me. They are less memorable than players who do well.
