I know that this subject has been touched upon on other posts but I thought I would start a completely new thread. Whichever way you may have voted it must be of concern that so few, less than 50%, actually voted. There may be a number of reasons why people have not exercised their democratic privilege but I wonder how many people who complain about Government policies/actions actually did vote. Is the time right to make voting compulsory, as is the case in some other countries?

Who voted for Labour then ?
38% of the 47% of the Welsh electorate who could be bothered to vote. Which works out at 17.9% of the Welsh electorate even with schoolchildren added on.

Loh. It is because Labour no longer represents that who they purport to represent.
Conservative traditional appeal to small businesses as well as big .
We simply have to break free or die in the apathy of it all.
Most people want better .
Tories have promised but rarely delivered and Labour simply does not know what it wants. It can rely on South Wales,Liverpool and a few inner city sink holes where the hate tradition is strong.
I have abject contempt for the parties and for the electorate as a whole,a seething mass of ignorance and cynicism
So you don't vote then?

It is rumoured that 100% of those who didn't vote were going to vote Labour as they are all stupid and sheep according to a certain clique on this forum who, incredibly, continually vote for their preferred party.
Lord_Jack increasingly detached from the riches of kicking a ball
Disagree, I appreciate that people fought for our right to vote, but if people have little interest or have no faith in any party, they should be allowed to abstain from voting, I honestly can't remember the last time I did, My Bad.
Participating should be compulsory, even if you spoil your ballot paper.

Have you seen her speech after not getting elected?
It was read directly from her mobile phone. Live on TV. Embarrassing.
She is an activist, she has worked non stop for the Rhondda, lots of politicians are all sleaze and self but I have never come across anything other than her being above board and genuine in everything I have read or heard about her.

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Whilst many police officers were what you call 'Maggie henchmen' not all were. Some knew well enough that they were bought out with the complete implementation of the Edmund Davies pay review, rather than in stages. This in preparation for the ensuing confrontation with the Miner's union. Some police officers were embarrassed by the behaviour of their colleagues on the picket lines. Some police officers have never forgotten their roots. After all, many had been miners or worked in industry before becoming police officers. I shall never forgot that senior officer up in Derbyshire, I believe, prancing around on that white horse like he was Napoleon. Anyway I cannot believe all police, retired or current, are 'true blue'.

Ken has been going on about police officers ever since I wound him up . He was always a decent poster and having met him once briefly he seems a quiet self effacing man who thought me strange although he didn’t say anything to my face.
He has been turned
Most police officers were and are fine people including the owner of this site

Actually the people who vote for the same party no matter what are the sheep. Those who didn't/don't and never vote aren't sheep, they are the apathetic, the couldn't cares and the don't knows. Which clique do you refer to? I know I'm not in it because I don't have a preferred party, I hate them all

Sheep have a hard life. If they're not stuck out on a remote damp welsh hillside before being slaughtered they are being used as political playthings
