1. Arizona has certainly elected a Democrat in the last 70 years. One William Jefferson Clinton in 1996
2. The GOP vote share in Presidential elections has fallen since the 1980s when Reagan too more than two thirds of the vote.
3. The demographic trend in Phoenix favours the Democrats more than it once did-more Latino voters, a increasingly college-educated suburban middle class. Much as in Georgia and other states such as North Carolina which have an increased democratic support
4. Bear in mind currently BOTH US senators in Arizona are Democrats. The House representatives are a mix-It's not the GOP 'shoo in' you are suggesting
5. There is a big local factor. Many people were larger disgusted by Trump's behaviour around John McCain. He lost personal support as a consequence.
That's not to say Trump was not successful in some states like Iowa and Florida which were very solidly behind him. But remember the past is that. The first election I can really remember was 1976. Texas voted Democrat and California Republican. New York was a swing state that Reagan won twice. People change. Economies change. Maybe by 2028 Texas will be Democrat and New York Republican. Noticeably the relevant House committees are very concerned with this 'audit: -the inexperienced auditors, their inherent bias, questions of 'dark' funding. It will almost certainly claim of wrongdoing, because that's entirely what is is trying to do. It will also likely be rapidly debunked and thrown out.

I was imprecise.
Arizona as a state voted for a Democrat once in 70+ years. They voted for Bush in 92 when Clinton became President but Clinton managed to become the first Democrat incumbent President to win the state 4 years later in 96 by 2% of the votes...
...Maricopa County however had never voted for a Democrat until Biden in this election...an election that was more polarised than any other, after a summer of violence and rioting, finally after 70+ years of voting Republican the citizens of Maricopa County finally decided to turn Democrat...Joe managed this great feat that neither Clinton or Obama could manage by not campaigning and mumbling incoherently during 'the debates'...
...and the 74000 absentee ballots received THAT WERE NEVER SENT OUT...and the hack of the electoral roll on the night of the election...and the 18,000 'voters' who were taken off the electoral roll under a week later...and the voters who voted but didn't appear on the electoral roll until a month later...all of that is JUST A MASSIVE COINCIDENCE.
