Get your bets in lads whilst the odds are decent.

Can't see who else they are going to turn to so close to the seasons start.

A lot of head scratching going on at present.

Would be a very uninspiring underwhelming appointment.

No experience or contacts.

Think it's unlikely he would accept after being refused several times. Alex Neil perhaps

Definitely one of the four candidates that earned raised eyebrows the other day. With Richards. Obviously Appleton and Eustace.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Eidur Gudjohnsen is well placed in the betting for some reason.

John Terry coming down with the bookies, not been in attendance at Villa's last few games as he is self isolating!

Would certainly have a few contacts in the game especially the pick of Chelsea players.

😕

Possibly but he is a somewhat tainted character & we’d turn into “John Terry’s Swansea”!

Happy with Toshack. Besides not winning the World Cup his record is better than Cooper’s.

More experienced than Cooper was.

Guessing he will come with

Gary Richards, who worked alongside Toshack with Swansea City's Under-23 side, had been his number two in Cyprus.

.

So according to some Toshack should be given a chance cos 'he's done ok with kids'.

Folk should do some research to see the 'style' he reverted to when coaching grown ups. Uncannily similar to that which Cooper gets a kicking for by some on the forums.

Yet give Toshack a chance. Irrational and bonkers.

Well, no. You're a fan of Cooper and you're claiming that Toshack is similar - being as Cooper's not coming back this is surely best case scenario for you. Remember, you were the same when Monk took over from ML, you'll get over it.

So I am going back. bit but ..
In 2011, Toshack joined his father at Macedonia as assistant manager for their 2012 UEFA Euro qualifying campaign. The team made a notable improvement, rising from 103 to 81 in the FIFA world rankings, underlined by a 0—0 friendly away draw with Portugal.
I am sure dad would help out/
And,
Pafos FC
In December 2019, Toshack was appointed manager of Pafos FC. When he joined, the club had only achieved three wins in 13 games and was battling for survival in the Cypriot First Division. Toshack had just 14 fit players available for his first three matches.[17] He prompted a revival for Pafos, picking up 16 of the 18 points on offer. Before his arrival, the club averaged 0.9 points-per-game in the 2019—20 league season but, under Toshack, this doubled to 1.8 points. In February 2020, Toshack won the Cypriot First Division's Manager of the Month award. He left the club in October 2020, having claimed the highest win percentage in the club's history.
Their league isn't great but it shows he can work successfully within the restrictions of his circumstances.
For us, Toshack was able to make Swansea's U23s highly competitive, gaining three Premier League medals in four years.
I'd rather see him, one of ours, given the opportunity to manage the club than another of similar standing from outside.
