I think it's highly unlikely we'd pay the wages of a manager who managed in the premier league as recently as last season and has been linked to larger spending championship clubs already this summer.

Williams, now a football agent and still a keen follower of the Swans, told Global247news how he too had heard about the pending announcement and thought it was a great choice.
Williams said: “That’s a very shrewd move by the Swansea board as Wilder is a fantastic manager; this Is the right choice and the quality of management Swansea deserve.”
According to sources at the club, once personal terms are fully agreed with Wilder’s assistant, the deal will be announced in the next 24 hours.

I agree. We’re a great club for an up and coming young manager, which is why I’m not convinced the Martin deal is dead yet.
If you do well at Swansea, you’ve got a great chance at a PL job, if you do well at MK Dons you don’t.
Our pay structure and recruitment budget will reflect that. I can’t see us being much of a draw to an experienced manager who has already been in the PL. | | | |
