Swansea City were brave, exciting, outstanding and aggressive against Brighton 23rd Sep 2021 10:24
Swansea City manager Russell Martin was full of praise for his young side against premier league opposition when reflecting on the 2-0 league cup loss. He was right of course, the chances created and the way the swans played at times was superb. 0

Swansea have never defeated Portsmouth at Portman Road.
Fratton park possibly.

He'll have to google that to check and he'll still have an explanation, and twist it that in his mind will make him right.

Which part is factually incorrect?

Lamptey is a fantastic young right back yes. Coming back from injury, I think it was his first game of the season. But will struggle to displace Veltman this season.

Even including him, they have 2 starts between them this season. Most are 21 or younger, 4 of which are teenagers.

Our team had 40+ league appearances between them and 30+ starts.

This reminds me of when people were trying to convince themselves the Reading Cup side was like a Championship side, despite half the side was 17 years old playing their first professional game.

Not really sure what your post is proving exactly, other than what I said was true.

Lamptey will 100% be in that team once fully fit. One of the first names on the teamsheet after last seasons performances. Much more important than Veltman in a Potter side.

Yeah maybe, he’s very young though so may be eased back in to Premier League life.
