Was a Welsh player disrespected last night then? Yes but not in east Europe. on 22:29 - Oct 11 by ReslovenSwan1
UK population is 68m. Wales's population is 3m. (4.4%) A minority. About 5% are Asian or Afro Caribbean.
Any abuse of minorities needs to be discouraged and dealt with severely in my opinion. Welsh darts players boxers and football players should not be taunted with sheep noises and violent threatening abuse. There are quite a few apologists that accept this as a birthright. Things are changing and the N word P word and anti irish abuse are no longer tolerated. From what I can see Welsh abuse is the last free hit for racists left.
Gerwyn asked for protection and EUFA style protocols for darts. He has not complained at racial abuse yet but I know where he is coming from.

We are not the same as the English, we don't act the same, we don't vote the same.
Crepe. Working class vote Labour in the northern cities as they always have done. Try finding a Tory voter in Liverpool then tell me they are any less working class than you. My misu is English and felt quite comfortable amongst our lot when we used to go back to Swansea .She has a working class background. Dad was a railwayman as was my uncle. My kids are English born ,not freaks or scum or vile or even Tory voters and are the same as my nieces and nephews who are Welsh born. Your post is painful.
Plenty of Tory voters too in the Vale, Clwyd and even the Gower, unless you have expelled them.
People in the majority of English cities face the same issue Welsh people do and those in Wrexham will be much the same in sentiment as Swansea ,Neath ,Port Talbot.
Voters in rural areas vote different -as you well know.

Neither are we a "group". We are the same as English people having interbred for years;hence the Celts crap can be binned.
You see things from an English perspective. An Anglophone. You could develop your perfectly reasonable pro Anglo views such that it does not result necessarily and automatically in disdain for Wales.
DNA evidence actually showed the English populace with high levels of what they call "Irish Scottish Welsh" genes in other words Celtic which some English institutions want to delete from history. They call it Ancient Britons (who adopted Celtic languages). They are less Germanic than they think. The 'English part Celts' have actually ditched their genes and reject Cymraeg as nothing to do with them. Cymreag is foreign to them as German despite the fact that it is an indigenous British language of their own ancestors. This is fair enough. The English actually whitewashed anything Welsh from their culture.
You are right of course about interbreeding but nationality is also about a way of thinking and belonging to a community (such as rolling hills and the south Wales coal valleys, or the mountains of Snowdonia for example).
I am proud to be Welsh and welcome outsiders in to be Welsh as well if they want to be. DNA are mere markers and not so important. It is the spirit and culture that is important. I do not want a world that follows Americana culture.
I have never heard of a darts player abused like this. The 'crafy Cockney' got some jip in Glasgow no doubt but never lewd racist sheep slurs.
