| Rhys Williams on 17:49 - Nov 9 by onehunglow | Marc was allowed to prove himself. Rhys clearly hasn’t. He s not been on the field of play enough for us to judge. Connor Gallagher had his doubters too as did Gykores. Funny game |
Guehi had a run of a few games & was then left out from what I remember. I think he only came back into the team after the covid restart & was terrific so stayed in. I always liked Gallagher, Gyokeres not so much! Williams needs to put the work in training & he'll get a chance - as long as Liverpool haven't recalled him...

You're making assumption there Keith that Russell will be around as long and at that level. Klopp judges him to be a big talent;Martin doesn't.

I’ve no proof of Klopp saying that. Yet.

Surely scouts watch players and don’t make decisions based solely on Klopp’s words? And I’m sure Dhanda was doing pretty alright in their youth team.

5 goals 1 assist in 18 games for their u23s, including one against us on the opening day. 7 goals 8 assists for their u18s the previous season. They were happy enough for him to move on after that. And they're not shy about handing kids £10k/week and sending them out on loans for a few years if they see a chance to profit long term. The other "next boy" Klopp mentioned alongside Yan was Conor Masterson, now at QPR but getting most of his football out on League One loans.Either Klopp's got no eye for talent or something fishy is going on... | | | | Login to get fewer ads

| Rhys Williams on 16:28 - Nov 9 by Luther27 | I thought RM would have learned a lesson from the Fulham match. Cabango got ripped a new one on the right and Naughton v Mitrovich? C’mon for Gods sake. He wants defenders to be brave and bring the ball out well firstly they need to play in their correct position to get the best out of them and secondly they need to defend as a priority and then have the skill to bring the ball out. Against the likes of Coventry we'll get away with it but definitely not against the better teams like Bournemouth and Fulham. I harp on about this as I thought Rhys was brought in to play that way for us….and he has height lol |
'Against the likes of Coventry we'll get away with it' One of the best teams in the division thus far?? 'but definitely not against the better teams like Bournemouth and Fulham.' West Brom?

| Rhys Williams on 11:28 - Nov 9 by Badlands | A number of questions arise. First for me is, Did he want to come to Swansea? Wasn't there loan enquiries form teams in the NW where he was from? Second, Has he recovered from the racial abuse that obviously deeply affected him? Third, Has he just failed to live up to expectation? It wouldn't be the first time a Liverpool youngster has. There seems to be a bit of a process in Liverpool where a young player gets a couple of first team games, is sent out to a Championship club and does OK, gets sold for ridiculous money. Fourth, Does Martin have a problem with young players? Benda and Hamer were pretty much hard to separate in terms of quality but he went with Hamer (pleased Hamer has turned out so well but would Benda also have produced the goods?); Cabango despite being one of the highest rated CB in the Championship last season can't get a look in and when he has game time he's played out of position; Obafemi gets publicly humiliated; tried to offload Whittaker; 6 regulars 28+ (of whom 5 are out of contract next year) with only three regulars under 25. |
'Does Martin have a problem with young players?' Our three best players this season barring Paterson have been Piroe, Downes and Laird total conjecture

The goal Brewster scored the other day tells me something different. I think he is n his way back. No solder can fight without bullets.

Not sure the "it's his teammates' fault" excuse works when every other striker they have has done better than him.

Brewster will deliver, he is a natural goalscorer. Having a bad patch in an under performing squad. He delivered in spades at Swansea where Gallagher perhaps did not, at least in terms of goals and assists. Not sure what has happened to OMcB. Those two focussed and on g form should be deadly.

Last I checked Sheffield United only play a one striker formation, madness in my opinion as the strikers they have on their books dwarf 90% of the Championship
