Agreed - his standing foot was taken away by the tackle. Pity there’s no VAR. it needs to come.

We wouldn’t need VAR if the refs were competent.

I had to view the replay a couple of times before I saw the contact. And there’s nothing wrong with my eyesight.

It’s literally the refs only job at that moment. And there’s a linesman about 10 yards away that apparently didn’t see it either.

That’s right - it all happened in lightning-quick time and was missed by the officials. That’s why we need a Video Assistant Referee in the modern game. Sooner the better.

Sometimes you just have to take time out to reflect.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

I’m not sure I approve of the tactic of chipping high crosses in towards 4 foot Obafemi

Need to be getting these extra goals when on top. Wasn't convinced by the Piroe sub when only 1-0, he can create from nothing as he showed. Was there an injury I missed?

Not helped by the ref though and that’s a legitimate gripe for this one.

Still a fairly decent performance though. I’d like to see more chances created for the possession however, especially in the first half.

5 goal attempts in 90 mins, 2 on target is something we need to be improving on.

Gut wrenching to concede so late in the game. Swans seemed too content to sit on their lead and let the clock wind down. Never a wise policy.

Apart from shit bag Stroud and his antics, I agree, we should have buried them poor tactics second half.

Agree with all of that. I want to add a positive comment about Grimes who has started to really look like a complete midfielder. Nobody has ever doubted his defensive qualities, and his ability to put his foot in at important times, but he’s always disappointed me in his ability to make the ‘killer pass’ and generally thread through attacking passes. I thought he did that very well today. He linked well with our attack and attempted one or two excellent defence splitting passes that unfortunately today did not come off. In short, he showed today, he has vision and is not afraid to get the ball forward. It augurs well for future games.

Both piroe and obafemi (who did nothing) need to pressurise the keeper, it wasn't done throughout the game.

My feelings too. Though, I just wonder whether camera angle makes them look closer to the keeper than they actually are.

Turned off after their goal, I said to myself that they were going to score from that corner, somehow I just knew it. But anyway, I though Obafrmi was slow as if he was afraid to put a power burst on in case he pulled something.
