Jake Silverstein to head up all transfer window negotiations until at least mid January 19th Dec 2021 14:36
Covid-19 protocols and rules yet to be implemented pending, Jake Silverstein is in Swansea to head up all negotiations for new players in the transfer window. The plan is that he will be the key negotiator for all the swans transfers in the foreseeable future, and he has already started his field trip. His aim is to have the majority of the work done by January 14th although this is flexible. 2

Hope he can do better for us than he’s done with Houston Dynamo. Bottom of the league.

Here’s hoping, but he is in Wales with a precise business remit, not Houston’s.

Andy Scott didn’t like it for sure.
May be Jake is aiming for Julians job.
It will save money.

"Jake came on to the board in 2020 with an investment of money"

To the writer of the article - I'm not sure this is actually correct. As it stands, all his done is loan the club money (with interest). A loan has to be repaid, so sorry that is not an investment.

Not sure this is Jakes's family. The family business is called Stormlight.

These people may maybe relatives of some sort of course in the mode of US business dynasties such as Rockafella, Hearst and Koch.

Wise sage since Toshack era

So what you're saying is that the guy who's taking over the transfer negotiations in this important transfer window is basically just an heir to Mammy and Daddy's money in business?

What's he done himself that makes him suited to this role?

Another way of putting it is that he is steeped in business acumen. Sadly we in Wales have traditional lack entrepreneurial spirit with parents wanting their kids to be teachers or preachers. People cut from this cloth do not understand finance or risk.

There are huge bucks in the PL much more than ever before and the fans want out.

Well he's grown up in it, but a more reliable view would have been formed if he was self made I'd have thought
